I've been a bit confused this week hearing constant talk of this Januzaj getting a call up for England.

Now I don't know if this has been everywhere, but I've had Talk Sport on in the car and they've been talking about it in the morning and afternoon all week, and now I see Wilshere has commented on it.

Maybe it's just me - but surely this kid, if turns out to be as good as he has seemingly been declared to be, over the next three years will be approached time and again by Belgium, who have far better international prospects than England at the present time and he will play for them? It seems a little premature, and extremely arrogant that the English are talking about having him when the first tournament he could play in would be the 2018 World Cup!

Have I missed something and this kid has actually said he wants to play for them?

All of this is supposing that he actually turns out to be any good!

There's about a 1% chance of him ever playing for England but for some reason the BBC have gone crazy with the story.

The kid scored 2 good goals against a * team, he'll probably fall away to nothing like all other hyped up Man United + premiership youngsters.

I had never even heard of him until the weekend- now it seems he's the greatest footballer of all time because there is a slight chance he can play for Engerland:rolleyes:- yer right, it's just pure arrogance on there part.

He turned down the chance to be part of the Belgian National team for the upcoming Qualifiers. Maybe didn't think he could cut it with the Belgian side, so has opted to try and get a game for a diddy National team like England instead.

He says we want to go on to play for Albania due to his parents being from Kosovo.

Hope he is a success :50:

No different to the Irish or Scottish teams being packed with English guys.

It is different seeing as Adnan Januzaj was born in Belgium. Those ''English guys'' have Irish or Scottish heritage. Januzaj has no English heritage whatsoever. He has only been in England for 5 years :smiley-laughing002:

    Totally different situation.

Unless they revoke an agreement amongst the 'Home Nations' it isn't possible.

Even if they do it will be another 5 years before he could be considered, within which time he WILL play for Belgium.

2 goals and a dive, which has been overlooked with the hype of his goals. Question is, can he do it on a cold night at Stoke or against better opposition.

England should be looking more to the likes of Luke Shaw, Ross Barkley, Jack Wilshere, Will Hughes, Ravel Morrison and Tom Ince who are English instead of someone who is not a national imo

Add Andros Townsend to the list who has also been excellent for Tottenham

A Belgian born player of Kosovan-Albanian parentage and he may play for England? Ridiculous.

He's rejected Belgium, I don't see why he'd accept playing for England. It's many years down the line, anyway. Plenty of time for UEFA to grant his wish and acknowledge Kosovo.
