Meh, very little of what I actually want is happening for a variety of reasons but I sleep in a dry bed with a roof over my head, I drink and wash with clean water, I can eat pretty much whatever I like, I can read and write and I'm in good health so doing better than a helluva lot of people

    Voted pretty good.

Cant really complain. In a job getting good experience but its not what I want to be doing. Dont get me wrong, its in the right industry (engineering) and Im working as an Engineering Drafter, but I want to get into more of a 'Project' role, like Project Engineering or Project Manager type role. The only thing thats annoying is people look for loads of experience to get into these.

Ive applied for a few Assistant Project roles or Project Co Ordinator roles which are an entry point into the field but having no joy.

    Can only keep trying.

Also, I bought a flat 6 months ago which Im happy with considering Im only 23, but want a house with a garden so I can get as many dogs as my heart desires. Got 1 german shepherd just now but want more lol.

My life is fantastic at the moment. I left Scotland for a warmer country, and I'm in the process of starting up business here.

I wake up every morning to a view of the med and on some clear days can even see Morocco from my terrace.

Awesome.....i'm very lucky, if truth be told. Life is excellent.

As an aside - "fiery pit" if things go * up tomorrow.

My life quite bad - permanent state of heartbreak it seems.

Also I have recently lost family members which, although very sad, have had a greater impact on my parents/aunts etc

I work in a hostel for the homeless, some of the residents monthly benefits are higher than my monthly wage. Things like this have an impact on my mood to be honest.

Am I the only person in a great position in life who doesn't consider himself lucky or fortunate to be there?

Life is marvellous. Businesses run themselves leaving me to just to reply to emails and the rare phone call. There's always a * up once a month which leaves me dedicating a few days with little sleep on the phone to a customs official who just wants to add value. Spend most of the day languorously and planning future jamborees which rarely come together. The girlfriend has her own place which suits me down to the ground. Only thing that bothers me is pollution and militant office dwellers. Get rid of those two and bliss.

I'd probably have to say awesome at the moment. Finally got on the ladder for the career I want after years of sucking it up, and I've been told the ideal position for me is coming available and I'm favourite to get it.

On top of that I'm engaged and planning my wedding in Las Vegas!

Recently caught my wife having an affair. 20 years of marriage down the drain. I'm now looking for a flat but can only afford a real shithole. My life has been torn apart to be honest and the future is not great. It's odd - one minute you are happy, before you know it, and through no fault of your own, you're *.

One breath to the next for me.

Sounds terrible, mate. Although such things happen in life; never forget the opposite happens too: one minute you're miserable and the next life is wonderful. Who knows what is around the corner? A new job? A new partner? A new start in a new place? Who knows? Just remember the old saying, "this too will pass". :shamrock:
