    Don't get me wrong they have a proud history as the best English team in Europe and all that. They have been shown up in the Premiership this season as a team capable of playing well when Gerrard feels like it, and when he doesnt just losing with a whimper to anyone. We royally romped them at Anfield 26 months ago with 10 men (and Momo Sylla), and now they are European Champions, and we are managerless, championshipless and facing a substantial amount of rebuilding before we can even be considered Uefa Cup quarter finalists again. Djimi Traore and Jerzy Dudek are champions of Europe? That says it all.

    Yeh with Porto and Liverpool both winning the trophy recently, I feel that it shows how the board's lack of spending has cost us in Europe. We could/should be in the latter stages of the CL at least, not finishing bottom of our group.

    Who are Liverpool? A nice club with a great set of fans who we are supposed to have a great relationship with. They done well, fought hard and got their reward.

    No, Rafa is a good tactiction and in the EPL good tactics arent the most important thing, wheras in Europe away from the EPL tactics are oh so important which is why Liverpool made it to the final in the first place, bit of luck yes, but every champion has luck on there side.

    We should take heart from Liverpool and the likes of PSV - if teams like them can get that far then we can keep dreaming. How many players were in the LFC side that we beat home and away started in the Euro Cup Final?
