    Totally agree. Teams such as Barnsley, Sheffield Wenesday & Derby etc all have far more of an attacking force than Barcelona. How would he cope? :rolleyes:

    Nice to see you keeping the normal English attitude up though.

    I hate it when fans from other teams come on Celtic forums and start running their mouths about how our players are average and wouldn't be able to start in a championship side! We are the supporters that watch these 'average' players every week so our judgement is clearly a lot better than others! We are usually a happy support that welcomes people from every club on here with open arms but when you come on here to slate our players then that's when I start a rant like this so thank you and have a nice day

    I think i know why some forest fans dont rate him as much as we do. The championship is a league full of terrible pitches, 6 foot 5 journeymen and route 1 football(kind of like the spl). The big man's best performances in a celtic jersey have came in Europe's premier competition, the Champions league. Where the attackers are more pacy and skillful, and the defenders are also faster, have good positional sense etc, like Wilson. He is made for European football.

    EXCLUSIVE: Paradise is lost on Kevin Wilson

    KELVIN WILSON has told Neil Lennon that he wants to leave Celtic and seal a return to Nottingham Forest.

    Forest have already failed with a £1.5million bid to re-sign their former defender, but are prepared to up the ante to nearer £2.5m to get their man.

    Hoops boss Lennon has gone public in saying that Wilson is not for sale and that he needs him for the Champions League, including Wednesday’s return clash with Elfsborg. Club sources, however, have told Express Sport that Lennon now has a fight on his hands as his star defender has made it clear he wants to go.

    The centre-half, who is in the final year of his contract although the club has an option to extend that for 12 months, has struggled to adapt to life in Scotland and has told Lennon that he wants to return to the Midlands to be closer to his family.

    Ironically Wilson, 27, who missed the weekend win over Ross County with shin splints, was frozen out at the City Ground during his final few months at Forest because he had agreed a pre-contract with the Hoops.

    Meanwhile, there is more positive news for Celtic with Lennon expected to pen a new contract later this week. The double-winning boss has agreed a new one-year rolling deal that will see him get a significant wage rise and become the top-paid boss in Scotland.

    He said: “I am hoping to get that finished off before Wednesday.

    “The club did look after me last season and have been true to their word. I’m pretty secure with that.”

    Lennon has now turned his focus to Wednesday’s Champions League return but faces a sweat to see if new signing Derk Boerrigter will be fit for the Swedish trip after he limped off against County with an injured ankle...
