    Impressed so far, a real ball playing centre half but will also not be bullied as much as Ambrose as physically he is a monster. Only 22 so mistakes will obviously happen, but the early signs look good.

    He reminds me of a poor mans Hummels(not a bad thing), strong, good in the air, not that quick, clatters through * and can play with the ball on the deck and likes to get forward.

    Another good performance from Van Dijk this weekend. He and Ambrose are looking like a very good partnership. We may finally have actually stumbled into a really solid center back pairing. Van Dijk's ability on the ball and passing range out of the back remind me a bit of Alan Stubbs when he was at his best.
