I'm sorry but this guy is not the answer..

You can see why lenny and co on a daily basis seeing him, decide to leave him out, most of the time..

Terrible touches, decision making, looks clueless to be honest..

Rarely is there a player that everyone seems to want to see succeed here :smiley-laughing002: but the guy is just a hopeless footballer of the Bangura mould.

    Simply not good enough.

I got hammered today when I said he shows no signs of progression or any chance of being a decent footballer, tonight further reinforced my beliefs.

I just don't understand how a professional footballer worth 1.8 mill can not by 22 have a consistently good first touch and link up play..
I know he's raw,but he's training at a massive club with top players and coaches every day and I've seen and controlled balls out the sky better than him during sunday league..

I just don't get how raw he can be,your either improving and not a bad player or your *..

I get the impression he isn't used to playing with his back to goal, he likes to build a head of steam up and get running at folk.

He isn't going to get that in Scotland unfortunately, not with us anyway.

    First touch is scarily bad.

If his first touch could fall on his chest every time,he'd be world class..

You can see that he likes to turn and when he's got a bit of space, run at defences but again he was doing that tonight, running inside to traffic instead of down the wing and clumsely getting tangled up in his feet..
    Painful to watch..

My 9 year old has a better 1st touch.
I know he lacks confidence but I don't buy this lack of game * as he kicks a ball about every day in training (with better players than any opposing spfl team) and should be able to do the basics.

Exactly what I think. At 22 he should be showing strong signs of the football player he is going to become. I know (like Devlin pointed out) players can be late developers but he's 22, not 18! How long do we give him until, 23, 24 - 25?!!

He has a touch like a donkey, his link up play can be so poor, he slows the game down, runs like a headless chicken and adds nothing that we don't already have. Been a waste in all honesty. Might have been a project but there was nothing special about him before he came. Not one noticeable attribute.

Hopefully he is just a late bloomer but as you said in the Derk thread, can we afford to wait around on these guys? Balde isn't 'special' enough in my opinion, nothing of note. More a cult figure now.

He wants far too much time on the ball and his first touch has the uncanny habit of going 3yards in the opposite direction. Think he's at the wrong club tbh, playing on the counter with a wee bit of space in behind I think he'd be an asset, but unfortunately for him we're on the front foot in 90% of our games and his build up play (touch etc) are just not good enough. Remember him in that liverpool friendly when our young Bhoys beat their first team, his strength when balls were played up to him and his pace in behind caused them so much trouble. That's the type of games where he'd be best suited.

Paddy McCourt and Balde in the same team would have been some wet dream.

Wouldn't get a game for Stirling Albion based on last nights performance. Feel sorry for him, I'm not writing him off yet either he just needs a bit of confidence and belief in himself.

Was an abject performance last night. Seems devoid of even the most basic technical ability.
