I know not many are going to like this.... but I'm not sure if I want to win it this way. If it is THEIR own doing, I'd rather that THEY were still in the top flight for all 10 seasons if we where to win 10 in a row.

It is definitely possible, and that's not being hyperbolic either.

That said, I kinda hope Celtic are somewhere else in 10 years.

If Gazprom can influence UEFA to create a Ukrainian/Russian championship, no reason why Celtic can't play in England.

I'd have NO issues seeing Celtic start in League 2 and work their way up.

Swansea City won England's League Cup.

I really think the scare tactics used by some to suggest it's completely and utterly impossible is absolute junk.

If we are to get competition, it has to be from Sevco. Whether we like it or not, Motherwell and Hibs are not even remotely comparable to a club the size Rangers were. Sevco, although not the same club, have the same fans and will be a 'bigger' club than Hibs or Motherwell. Whether we like to admit it or not that's the reality.

My point is, if we're to get competition, I hope it's not from a Hibs or a Motherwell because the only way that competition will happen is if our standard of football drops significantly. If that happens we will never be a force in Europe again and we'll die along with the rest of Scottish football.

    Just my opinion.

    True.

Hopefully a couple years of decent runs in the Champions League (throw in a long run in the Europa League, too) can create a wee bit of a "Rainy Day Fund" to soften the blow just in case it does happen.

Without Rangers around, next year's SPL title is already a foregone conclusion, too ... so, everything must be about Europe next year, and beyond.

Many players will now know what to expect, how to handle the highs and lows of playing in Europe, and then up in The Highlands at midday Saturday, etc.

We need to get clinical and ruthless.

Will probably get completely nailed for this. But I think the pressure on us to win could possibly get to us after Sevco are back in the SPL? Just a consideration, not a fact...

It depends if SFA appeal the nimmo verdict. If they do and end up taking titles from oldco then award us our rightful titles we will already be on 13 in a row when we win the title this season.

Otherewise i don't think we will be in Scottish Football by end of 2019/2020 season.

Given the fact that any credible competition is years away then yes it is very much a possibility.

The sooner there is a challenge the better as far as I'm concerned.

No, as the forces driving the return of Triggers Broom FC will ensure, one way or the other, that winning the title will be the icing on the cake of their (perceived) redemption.

If the powers that be and the media changed into a less Hun-centric cabal then there may be chance, but until that day even if we were the greatest team ever assembled we're always going to be up against it.

Scotland the best wee country in the world (for some).

im no maths expert but if the beasts win each season wouldn't we only be 4 in a row by the time they get into spl?so they will have 6 years to stop us lol,
cant really slate them for their performances againts 2 spl opposition when we lose to ross county-on any day any team can play really bad-although i agree their current team is really awful-even in the games where they beat these 3rd div teams they are always conceding goals.

the question is do we want to be going for 10-in-a-row ?

the pressure on the manager and players backs would be astronomical.

better to win 9, then hope hibs or someone wins 1. then bang in another 9 in-a-row.

Considering Rangers are likely to be in the top flight in 3 years I don't think it is a strong possibility.

It was always a realistic possibility even when the Huns were alive

lets face it ..the next time we play newco are we really positive that we will win

the game at ipox when we got beat 4-2 was the game that we were supposed to drive the final nail into their coffin so really worried about the peaks & troughs of Lennon's management capability and i am not for changing manager by any stretch of the imagination..just being realistic

But the first time we play Newco there is a fair chance Lennon won't be the manager.
