Death Penalty Yes or No??

You cant get more left-leaning than soviet russia yet excutions were common place..

 

Absolutely not.

If even a single innocent person was executed by mistake that is by far too high a price to pay.

think i read that japan hanged three prisoners this morning

 

A lot of innocent people are executed ,murdered by the criminals,
& i guarantee the state wouldn't execute a child,which is
more than can be said for them *.

 

Definitely not. What a horrible society we live in where the punishment for murder, is to murder that person. Then no one is better than the other. I'd rather we focus on rehabilitation over a long time in prison.

 

Why are people worrying about innocent people being executed??

The British justice system hasn't got a great track record.

 

I'm a bit conflicted about the death penalty. My religious beliefs mean I should be against it but I can't help feeling that, in some cases, it would be a good thing.

Some human beings really are just evil to the core and they will never be anything else. The world would be better off without them.

Rehabilitation does that really work with psychopaths and do they actually get cured in prisons ?

 

There are absolute monsters out there who just kill because they get off on it. I would like to think I am better than them by not having them executed. The day this country brings back the death penalty, it will be the day I leave.

What I am getting at is people are worried that some poor * will be framed giving the death sentence incorrectly than the 30 odd joe blogs who rape kids murder for a fiver ,supporting the wrong team and so on

So all the mad * out there get an easy life because the prosecution of some case gets it wrong

If somebody is out there killing people just because they enjoy it then I would have no problem whatsoever with that being person being executed by the authorities.

Better one dead psychopath than fifteen dead innocent people.

 

I respect that point of view, and we would like to think with rose tinted glasses that the left is more civilized but its not always. Look back in history and we find Stalin's hardline left wing Soviet Russia killed more than the disgusting right wing * Germans did. Sometimes things are less black and white than we think.

Death is too easy an option for these monsters.

Tougher prisons for these people is what we should be aiming towards. It costs on average around £35,000 a year to keep one of these *. That's £95 a day! Maybe if they took their Sky TV away and flat screen teles it would cost a little less.
