I have a theory that he is in fact at least 5 years older than what it is stated in his passport. The fact that he declined so fast when he is not that old makes me think so.

The fact that he refused a move that would allow him to continue playing first team football in order to stay in the UK for personal (possibly legal? How long do you have to stay in the UK to get permanent residence?) reasons really implies that his career is ending.

I have to disagree with your reasoning again. Efe hasn't regressed, it is just that Lennon's system offered him more protection than Deila's did. I always said that Joe Ledley does a lot of work that isn't immediately noticeable, but that is vital; screening the defence and plugging gaps was one of them.
