Watching back the game, didn't quite realise just how good a first half he had. Was clearly knackered by the second half but was excellent in the first.

Lovely close control, kept turning away from the Rangers midfield, but just didn't have the acceleration to get away from them.

If he had a wee burst of pace, he'd be unstoppable.

If he had a burst of pace he wouldn't be at us, so in a way I like his flaws :smiley-laughing002:

Must have been fouled about half a dozen times in the first half. Kept getting pulled down.

He kept drawing them into giving them away, showing a wee bit of the ball to them then just pulling it away :smiley-laughing002:

Rewatched the full match today and he was immense first half. Must have pirouetted away from Barton 4 times.

He was our best player in the first half IMO.

    So comfortable in tight situations.

Once he gets going he isn't actually that slow.

Has a long stride and his strength and control allows him to shrug off faster players.

Didn't expect him to finish the game anyway and neither did Rodgers.

TR: “We performed well at the weekend and we have had momentum building for some time.

TR: "In a good place at the minute and we have quality in the squad. Feel we are ready to come here now.

TR on Barcelona being defeated at the weekend: "Not ideal for them but a top side with quality players, be looking to bounce back.

TR: "Aware of that & challenge. One of the best side’s in the world but we have reason to believe we have quality to get a result.

TR: "It was a fantastic result but we move on. I’m enjoying working with the manager and am looking forward to the future.

TR on playing in Camp Nou: "Something pretty special as a player and something to look forward to and enjoy. A special occasion.

TR: "Want to be in the #UCL and games we want to play in. We have a lot of big games coming up.

TOM Rogic insists that Celtic are ready for the huge test of facing Barcelona in the Camp Nou in tomorrow night’s UEFA Champions clash following Saturday’s sensational Glasgow derby triumph.
The Hoops produced a wonderful performance to thrash city rivals Rangers 5-1 in Paradise and maintain their 100 per cent start to the domestic campaign. In contrast, the Catalan giants went down to a shock 2-1 home defeat to Alaves.
And now the Scottish champions will go head-to-head with the La Liga outfit in the opening match of Group C high on confidence, yet acutely aware of the awesome talent at their opponents’ disposal, including their fantastic front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Rogic acknowledged the scale of the challenge facing the Hoops but he insisted he and his team-mates believe they can earn a positive result.
Speaking at the Nou Camp before the Hoops squad's training session, he said: “We performed well at the weekend and we have had momentum building for some time. We are in a good place at the minute and we have quality within the squad.
"The weekend was pleasing and I feel as though we are ready to come here now and I guess their result at the weekend proves anything can happen.
“It obviously wasn’t ideal for them but they are a top side with quality players and they will be looking to bounce back. We are wary of that and ready for the challenge.
“They are one of the best sides in the world and we are aware of the quality they have individually and as a squad. They are well-known for their style of football and the way they play and that’s obviously associated with the best players in the world that they have. We respect them and we know where they are in world football but we are in a good moment and certainly believe in ourselves.
"We know it’s going to be difficult but we are full of confidence at the moment and we have reason to believe we have the quality to get a result."
Rogic was excellent for the Bhoys during his time on the pitch in the derby victory, continuing his impressive start to the season under Brendan Rodgers.
He said: “It was a fantastic result but we move on. We have big games and they don’t stop. Things are going well, I’m enjoying working with the manager and I’m looking forward to the future."
And now the Australian internationalist is relishing the prospect of taking on the cream of the continent in Europe's premier club competition, starting with Barcelona.
He said: "We want to be in the Champions League and these are the games we want to play in. When I first came to the club we got a taste of Champions League football so it’s where we want to be and we have a lot of big games coming up.
"It’s something that’s pretty special as a player and more than anything, it’s something to look forward to and enjoy. That’s why we play football for nights like tomorrow night. These are special occasions and as a team we are looking to enjoy it. It’s just exciting.”
