Mooy getting signed by Man City is likely to be a result of priorities of the city group as a whole opposed to improveents to man city. Man City have signed players from other a-league teams in the past and loaned them to Melbourne city as a way of loopholing transfers and wages. I'm unsure if the FFA have stopped this but if they haven't it would likely be to free up space for Melbourne city to acquire Tim Cahill.

Rogic is a better prospect then Mooy in my opinion but.you can't compare perceived value comparative to Mooy given the city group's transfer history with Australian players. A lot of Australian pundits (Craig foster and Mark bosnich in particular) have said Rogic needs to move to a perceived bigger club in England for further his development. Obviously this is nonsense, there's no reason for him to move away when he is finally stringing games together after injuries, and unlike the clubs people in Australia want him to transfer to he will get first team and European action at Celtic. I just hope people at Australian football haven't been getting in his ear. He comes across as a level headed kid. I'd love him to stay at Celtic

In any event, I expect a contract will be signed once Tom understands his position in the squad. He won't hang around if a high priced replacement is brought in.

Until the transfer market stuff is all sorted, the rest is pure speculation.

Yep, first class. Pure quality. He's looking right at home, think he is about set to plonk his leather sofa on the edge of the 18 yard box at the moment.

 

His potential was clear to see even when he first came on the scene all those years ago. Technically he is head and shoulders above everyone in our squad. A combination of injuries and Lenny not giving him a proper chance * it up for him a bit, but he was quite young then too.

He is a very important player to us now. Just look at some of the decisive goals he scored last season, he will only get better as well.

Must tie him up asap.

 

He plays well when he has people on the same wavelength as him around. He likes quick, clever little passes and one-twos. Him and Armstrong looked very good, and i'm sure he'll love playing with Roberts. As a 3 behind the stroker, they offer a really good mix.

Bitton needs to have a look at him. Both were criticised for looking a bit casual and lethargic, Rogic now seems far more active and dynamic, yet still composed, but Bitton just want to grind things to a halt while he looks for a Hollywood pass - someone needs to tell him short and simple at times is just as important. An early ball can catch out a back-pedalling defence, waiting five or six beats to try a big defence-splitter doesn't work if they're tight and in position. As good a passer as he can be, Bitton needs to change his game a bit. Just like Tam has.
