The thing is that Johansen doesn't really work well in that bank of two - and for all that he's out of form, I still think he's a very important player for us. The only way round it that I can think of is playing a diamond:

    Gordon
    Lustig Boyata Šimunović Izaguirre
    Bitton
    Brown Johansen
    Rogić
    ............Commons
    Griffiths..........

That doesn't leave any room for our wingers though.

Personally I just think he's out of form because he never gets dropped. Could also be fatigue as a lot of us were mesmerised by how much running he does in a game. Might have caught up with him. He runs about like a headless chicken at the moment and gives away stupid fouls and poor final balls. Does more harm than good so needs to be dropped for the sake of the team and with guys like Rogic, Commons, Allan and Armstrong wanting the same starting spot we need to give these guys a chance.

Glad he's getting a game in that No.10 role, don't think he has the strength and engine for a DM but he has the quality in the final third to be a No.10. You could probably play him up front and expect goals too.

I missed the match because of work, but he sounds fairly promising!

I think we need to start working Commons and Rogic into our regular first 11.

I expect TR to be named in the Socceroo squad (WCQ) tomorrow to take on Jordan in Amman. The game after that is against Kirgyzstan in Canberra, which is TR's home town. I'd expect a big turn out for his homecoming and there are also plenty of Hoops fans in Australia, so no doubt he'll be signing a few shirts after (hopefully) a big Australia victory.

It's always the dodgy side (for European teams) of buying top Aussie players - they'll have to travel a lot, but it doesn't seem to have affected Rogic just yet. If anything it's helped him confidence wise - getting back into the Socceroos.

It certainly affected him for the Aberdeen game.

He did 3 huge journeys, and then put in his worst performance of the season. Surprised he started to be honest

Team spirit seemed high at the weekend- think they have probably had a meeting to clear the air and clear up any misunderstandings and make it a fresh start, because I think a few egos were maybe dented after the malmo games- hopefully we can move on now more focused and work as a team again like we were when at out best last season.

I know he only played 20 mins, but genuinely excited everytime he gets the ball.

Played quite well when he came on. He's brilliant at running towards a player and nicking it away from him at the last second. Very quick feet.

I feel like he has to work on his shooting from outside the box. He usually misses the target by a fair distance.

    He is something special.

If he can add consistency to this form he is showing just now... holy * we have won a watch.

Amazing how a player's luck can turn, you'd forget he was even playing for celtic a few months ago and now he looks great and someone like GMS who was brilliant a few months ago now looks *.:56: Another long trip for him to Australia again after he's just come back, hope he can keep up the form when he returns.
