Going to this game. I dont expect it to be easy. Caley are always up for this game and were on a good run before the Motherwell defeat. I expect it to be close.

    2-1 Celtic

Ledley and Matthews to cover when needed, Wanyama there as well.

Go forthe throat, attack them. It's what we're good at.

Wilson and Ambrose are both quick enough to play like that. Caley play 1 up front an theres plenty of options to change it in there. That's how ai'd start though.

Am I wrong here, can't be arsed checking. But before every gOOd or decent result in the CL have we been pish in the league? Apart from tuesday when we went into the game with a gOOd result up in Aberdeen.

I always call these games wrong. So instead of my usual backlash scoreline I'll go for a conservative 2-1 to the Bhoys.

Edit: Definitely need to give Kayal some time before the Spartak game.

Mulgrew needs to be rested for this, 26 games played so far this season already!

    Copying *. :bbpd:

But aye, I definitely think we should go for the throat. Much as I hated the way Benfica played the other night, their line-up was bold, imaginative, and we could learn from them.

Did you do the same team?

    * me, I'll need to change mines then I must be slabbeting * :56:

Last time Matthews played right mid against caley he set up 3, so I'd see if he can continue that trend.

Not the same team, but same formation: 3-4-3. We need to have a right go at these SPL teams.

I think Matthews is due a rest, though.

I'd make 5 changes from the Benfica game:

    Out
Mulgrew - Possibly injured but even if not, deserves a rest ahead of Tynecastle.
Brown - Hopefully he gets the operation he truly needs.
Wanyama - Bench before coming on, Kayal/Ledley need to run together up to Spartak game.
Samaras - Put in great shift, bench on saturday.
Hooper - Just back from injury and worked hard, bench on saturday.

    In
McGeough - Lack of midfield options but deserves start nonetheless.
Kayal - Needs to get up to speed pronto but deserves start alongside Ledley ahead of Spartak.
Commons - Lack of midfield options and should be fairly well rested.
Lassad - Deserves start and should freshen our attacking play on satrday.
Watt - Will be raring to go, deserves start.

Team = Forster; Lustig, Ambrose, K.Wilson, Matthews; McGeough, Kayal, Ledley, Commons; Watt, Lassad. 7 Subs: Zaluska, Chalmers, Wanyama, McCourt, Miku, Samaras, Hooper.

Will be interesting without the GB, wonder if the planned 12th minute chant will proceed.

    Any win will do. :50:

That is the team I would go with too. McGeouch must start.

I'd go with that line-up in the post above, but I'd drop Hooper for Watt.

I'd go for this but with Matthews for Lustig and Zaluska for Forster. I'd like to see how our second choice players can cope with regular matches.
