The leg weary defence were leg weary because we had no creative outlet to take the pressure off them, so they were on the back foot the whole 90. Ki would have provided that.

And the impotent strike-force weren't exactly receiving a wealth of service into the danger areas.

What we missed was someone in the midfield to hold on to the ball and start moves rather than just punt it up the park and hope for the best, whether that was Ki, Nakamura, Lubo or a fully fit Kris Commons. Even someone like Donati.

75% of our midfield was unfit. That's the Ki point here.

Ki was a good player but couldnt cut it in the SPL when it comes to playing teams on small parks or who dont give you time on the ball he becomes kinda useless which was why he wasnt a starter for us.The 6 million we got was great business although i do hope he becomes great in England...

Surprised Ki has not been blamed for the defeat tonight. Ah well, still time I guess.

At this point in time, who gives a * about Ki? People seem cheated by the fact that they know he was decent, but was pish for us. We made a good profit. Move on. Im sure he is loving Wales right now. Whats that? Brown is *? *. why did we sell Ki?

How on earth was Ki pish for us? Laughable comment.

To answer the OP's question, absolutely he was and he would have done a far better job than Brown, Ledley and Kayal in a game like the Benfica one 2 days ago.

His range of passing and ability to keep the ball would have made him a good option for us against Benifca. Him and Wanyama in the midfield and we could have dominated possession against decent sides as such.

    * Gary Caldwell, failing to pick up Garay for their winner. :31:
