Can't look past Breaking Bad i think.

Prison Break season 1 and 2 were brilliant.

Except for Breaking Bad, Sons Of Anarchy, The Shield, Spartacus(very underrated), Lost, Prison Break and Game Of Thrones:smiley-laughing002:

I've seen BB, SOA and PB. All very good but I just think The Sopranos is perfection.

BB and SOA wouldn't be a million miles off though.

It is an amazing show:50: Would you describe the ending as perfection?

Roots, and another series just after called Centennial, which I think must have been shown in 1976 to mark the USAs bi- centennial and I loved Twin Peaks.

    SPOILER
The way I see it, he was shot in the back of the head by the dodgy looking bloke with the members only jacket on him.

Everytime the door opens, straight after you see who enters the diner from Tony's point of view, and as soon as Meadow opens the door, its blackness, which I reckon is death from Tony's point of view. I think the members only lad went into the toilet to get the gun which was planted in there (Godfather link), you can even see when he walks by the family he looks very awkward and nervous and makes a point of not making eye contact with them.

I amn't sure what the main reason was for him wanting Tony dead or who ordered the hit but really there is a number of possible reasons a boss of a major crime family is going to be clipped. Also, in previous episodes in the final season there is a lot of talk about not hearing it when it comes (being clipped) like when Tony and Bobby are on the boat, or when Silvio says how
he didnt hear a thing when Gerry Torciano was shot.

Think it was a great way to 'kill him off', as what Soprano fan really wants to see Tony viciously murdered infront of his family? Also, if it had ever got to the stage where they wanted to make a movie, they hypothetically could have had Tony survive.

I remember first time I watched the ending, I was convinced that the final thing you see is Meadow coming in the door but it was actually Tony's face. Before then every time you hear the door opening you see who comes in from Tony's POV, remember reading online a lot of other people were the same when they first watched it, mad how it played tricks on peoples minds :smiley-laughing002:. Thats why I loved it. Some great videos about it on youtube.

A few months back, apparently creator David Chase said Tony never died. http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-r...nally-explains-the-sopranos-ending-or-does-he

I like to think he survived. Thinking it showed that for the rest of his life he'll always be looking over his shoulder and worried that anyone he see's could be there to kill him.

Although death is probably more accurate but i just want him to be alive lol. Can't really remember but does he not talk to Bobby about dying and one of them say they think everything just goes black?

No I didnt :smiley-laughing002:, although I am basing it on what I've read/watched on youtube.

After that he more or less says its open to interpretation. Not sure if it will ever be fully explained by him to be honest and think its best he doesn't. Having a bit of mystery around it is a good thing aswell.

edit - I posted more or less the same post a few months ago in the sopranos ending thread, so thats where youve read it before. Shows im atleast consistent in what I think happened :smiley-laughing002:

I agree way you, i think it was a great ending. No all tv shows should end like that though (no real closure) ,but i thought for The Sopranos it was fitting. And its up to each individual on how they thought it ended.:50:

Baffles me how anyone could consider Prison Break, as great as the first season was, on a par with the classics listed in the rest of the thread. The third and fourth seasons were absolutely desperate.
