    This is the best chance to give youngsters a chance this season.

    He reminds me of Alvaro Fernandez who has played in a World Cup for Uruguay and plays regularly in the similarly-physical MLS. If he's tricky and plays to his strengths he'll be fine.

    Just going to use my post from the Match Thread;

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BpFxSayRbU&feature=relmfu"]10th July 2012 - Part 2 - YouTube[/ame]

    Twardzik looked excellent 2nd half, picking up the ball from deep and just pinging pinpoint passes through their defence.

    I hope Lenny isn't planning on using him left hand side of a back three though, that certainly wouldn't be using his best attributes. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

    He is only ever played there or left-back I think to toughen him up and give him games as we've quite a lot of other midfielders needing games Brown, Commons, Forrest, Ledley, Kayal, Ki, McGeouch, McCourt etc

    I dont think he will ever start a real game for us in defence, only maybe fill in at left-back as a sub.

    It was he (Filip) who played at the Emirates.

    His brother (Patrick) Twardzik has yet to make anywhere near the first team squad, and probably won't imo.

    Hooper said: “Filip has a good left foot and can see a pass, win a tackle when he wants to and has the balls to take possession from the centre-backs.

    “Some players would run away but he goes and gets it and anyone who can do that will do well.”

    Tidy wee player, could do with bulking up a bit but he has the confidence and technical ability to do well. Think we'll see a good bit of him this season.

    He will be the best player our academy creates in recent years IMO he just his this arrogance about him that all the top players have and his passing and vision of what's around him is superb he actually impressed me more than watt did at inverness

    Only seen a few of the young bhoys games. How's Patrick in comparison to Filip? And what position does Pat play?

    I'm with you on this one. I never rated him too highly when I saw him at left back or on the wing, but seeing him in his natural position at the weekend I was incredibly impressed. The boy has so much natural talent and an eye for a pass our central midfield is currently lacking.

    Very impressed with this guy. He's got that natural calmness on the ball and his passing and technique is excellent. Think we've unearthed a gem here.

    I have very high hopes for Filip as he is a very tidy, talented and creative player. He could turn out to be all the things that Ki never quite delivered.

    Patrik was in the squad against Rennes in France so I wouldn't say he is nowhere near the first team squad.

    I hope Filip gets a run out on Wednesday and gains some valuable European experience. Over the course of the season I expect we'll be seeing a lot more of him and also some of the other youth players. Exciting times ahead for us all.
