If Matthews is fit then he must start. He's our best RB.
If he isn't fit then we don't have any choice but to play Cha. I think he'd cope, especially if Wylde was playing, Cha would more than match him for pace.

I love his attacking runs down the right flank, but I don't feel comfy with his defending, although I feel with his speed, he'd rip the * out the clatty crews defence. Would rather have Mathews, but unless he plays this weekend, he has no match fitness, and for that reason, I'd then play Cha Bhoy

I thought Matthews was injured? If he's fit I'd be tempted to play him at right back and Izzy at left back.......but this is of course if Izzy has no reaction from the 90 mins he played today. I still think the Huns game might be a bit too early for him. So my options (depending on injuries):

RB - Matthews LB - Izzy
RB - Cha LB - Matthews
RB - Cha LB - Charlie

That's something they've both got in common then.

This imposter should never wear the hoops again.

I think they will go with Wylde on the left, that would be a dream come true for Cha,

If they go with Lafferty on the left however, he could cause either Cha massive problems, aerially.

If matthews is fit he must play, 1st choice right back at the club by a distance

Would definitely rather have Matthews. Cha is a liability, his pace gets him out of so many holes. Not too solid defensively and lacks a final ball. Matthews is solid.

Cha's pace is his greatest attribute, no doubt!

Although Matthews is a better player.

The best man for the RB position is the best defender and the one who keep the huns from getting past.

    Anything else is a bonus!

So let's ensure the back 4 stop them, with the help of the DM and ensure our forward line and AM destroy them!

For me, if Matthews if fit, then he plays.

But, with Izzy still out and Maj out & Loovens doubtful then Mulgrew & either Rogne or Wanyama would likely be our CB pairing, with Matthews at LB and Cha on the right, so I can see both of them playing.

Also, not sure if Lenny would be happy with Rogne & Wanyama at CB, unless we really had to play Mulgrew at LB.

But then if Ledley is fit then he too can play at LB...

    The possibilities are endless :icon_mrgreen:

You know what, never mind the personnel, let's just win!!!

    Hail Hail

Cha is decent but Matthews is by far our best RB.

Cha's defensive quality has been questioned, there is no problems with him going forward. In fact he is very similar to Agathe...great pace and good when going forward, but his defensive qualities and awareness is a bit lacking sometimes.

Still, I have no problems with him starting against der huns

Playing really well but Matthews is all round a better player.

Hope the 'human weapon' can inflict some damage to the huns

Two goals in Europe (Rennes and Udinese away) were his fault.

He is a decent player, good going forward but lacks the intelligence to be a defender.

    Hopefully Matthews is back.

Bit harsh to blame him for the goal in Udinese he had two men to cover and was a bit unfortunate with the header, he also saved us on a few occasions that game, there left winger was clean through and he somehow managed to catch him, just find it harsh people highlight the goals he supposedly cost us but totally forget the occasions when he saves us goals.

I'd rather have Matthews but I wouldn't be worried at all if Cha played. I think he's more than capable of handling whatever the huns put up against him.

The everyone saying Matthews for RB; who will play left back if Matthews does play RB?

For me Charlie isn't a LB, thankfully Ledley isn't fit to be wasted in that role and I doubt Emilio will make it.
