He's a comedian though and they generally get away with more than your regular punter does. Look at Frankie Boyle for example. How he's not been stabbed after some of the stuff he's said about Madeleine McCann/Downs' Syndrome etc, astounds me.

Not that I'm saying I want him to get stabbed, it's just surprising that nothing serious has happened to him.

People need to lighting up for Christ sake.

Are we comparing Charlie's wean being in a car by himself to Madeline McCann jokes? :97:

Jesus * man, political correctness does my * in.

I'm not comparing the jokes about Madeleine to Charlie's wean, for * sake. My point was that comedians tend to get away with a lot more stuff than your average person would, in response to the person who brought up Kevin Bridges.

Fair point mate but still, stuff like that songs just banter. It's not something malicious or anything like that. It's poking fun.

Along the lines of "He's got no hair but we don't care, walking in a Hartson Wonderland"

Because people have a sense of humour, as long as there's no malice in the joke.

These days people take offense far too easy, it's just a wee joke, no malice in it,

You'd be surprised at how many people don't have a sense of humour though. Boyle is always getting complaints made against him. I used to find him funny, but went off him. Not because I was offended by anything he said, but because he just kept repeating the same stuff in the end. I know comedians regularly recycle jokes and use them at different times in their careers, but he never had a lot of great material to start off with and it got boring very quickly.

Anyway, let's not turn this into the Frankie Boyle thread :56:
