Why is it not ok for the ethnic Irish to praise Irish heroes the fought for independence?

If an American came to Scotland and started singing about The American War Of Independance no one would care.

But sing about Irish heroes and you become a scum bag. Its racist.

 

completely out of order from some of our supporters but at the same time after everything that had happened in this fixture last season it was an idiotic idea to let a bunch of wee boys run by an angry a set of fans in hearts colours

 

sad day when fans take to shouting abuse at children ...simply not on....cant condone idiotic behaviour of morons ....we owe it to the club to keep our high standards of behaviour even when being provoked.....the wilson incident was disgusting but no excuse to shout at weans.....

 

If it had been rangers fans behaving like that
we would ALL be slating the ones involved,& rightly so.

This is my take on it too, I am in the picture, not one of the guys circled before anyone starts:bbpd: but one of the guys circled is from the CSC bus I get on and there would have been no abuse shouted, a bit of booing etc but the article fails to mention the gestures the 'easily offended' kids where doing hence why you see a lot of people laughing in the photo.

 

Forget who has or hasn't "got it in" for us, or the number of people involved in the stands.
Fact of the matter is these are unprovoked children living their dreams of playing on the Hearts pitch. There is no excuse what so ever for booing or shouting abuse at them.
We're trying to move away from the "old firm" tag as we don't want to be associated with the shame that Rangers bring to the table but we're shooting ourselves in the foot.

These new audio pictures are incredible. You can now hear what Celtic fans are shouting just by looking at the picture. Typical poor quality Scottish journalism looking to stir up yet more pish.

 

There are also a similar number of people applauding the young lads too, but that doesn`t make headlines.

These guys are not Celtic fans........they just choose to spend a considerable amount of time and money following Celtic up and down the country and in some cases all over the world.

Yes folk shouting at kids is all very pathetic, whoever they support; no one disagrees with that.

Curious though that the paper actually went to the lengths they did to demonize celtic fans; one would think there was a PR firm hard at work trying to take the heat off of another group of fans who shall remain forever mysterious.

Could they not go and circle the * with the John Wilson banner and masks? hardly banter when the mans victim is there; I daresay it was offensive to him.

I never said folk had carte Blanche to do what they like bit to say that they are not Celtic supporters could not be further from the truth, it's a complete fallacy.

The only folk getting wound up about this whole issue are the ultra sensitive, as the kids certainly didn't give a *, in fact they were rebelling in the "abuse", using that term in the loosest sense possible.
