    Not tOO bothered about this to be honest. Can put tOO much pressure on a player and the chances are fans will be disappointed even if the player is gOOd.

    It's a number at the end of the day. Regardless of who previously wore it. I understand why it should/could be retired. But I don't particularly understand why it puts so much pressure on a player when they are given it.

    if it was ever gonna be retired it should have been done when the khing left IMO. So hold it for now till some one PROVES there worthy to wear it!! HH:celt_2:

    Didn't Skippy end up wearing the number 7 eventually? I know he was number 27 when he first signed, but I think he changed it in his second season. If anyone deserves it right now, Hooper is the man. Imagine we signed Bellamy before the end of the window and he got the lucky number. I'd * myself with excitement.
