    I like him & think he's a good player.

I'd have been playing him a lot more if I was BTM or Lenny, strange he doesn't get games.

He is steady but he doesn't offer enough to budge the ones above him in the pecking order. I know i am in the minority but I feel we have definitely seen enough. He has had enoug times to make the judgement he is not goin to suddenly take the spl by storm. I still argue that only Riordhan and Joel Perrier Doumbe can argue that they never had a chance to show their ability.

As already pointed out his technique is second to none. I also think he reads the game well and his passing game is pretty good.

The reason why I think he is not getting a game is because of the old fashioned and conservative Scottish attitude about football: players need to be full of energy, have to fight 200%, have to be lumber jacks or hard men in general. They have to run 20 miles every game etc. it's all about athleticism and fitness.

Attributes considering how to football are secondary: in technique, shooting and passing ability, tactics, football intelligence etc etc.

That's the reason why so many Scots would like to have 11 Scott Brown's on the team and not one single Marc Crosas. Crosas is often called a "lightweight", "too soft for the SPL". That is the reason why he ain't getting a game. He doesn't fit nto the 1st category.

Needless to say I can't really understand that oldfashioned football philosophy and neither can my fellow continental european friends.

Remember his goal of the season?

Pure technique - not many players in the SPL would score that, certainly not Joe Ledley.

A waster who appears more interested in socialising and social networking than trying to knuckle down and cement a place in the first team.

I think Crosas is pobably our most creative player and yet, as a team with a reputation for attacking football and creativity, we can't fit him in. Scandalous in my opinion.

I think he'll leave soon and who can blame him. I suspect that like Arteta and Donati to a lesser extent, he'll go on and do very well at his next club. It speaks volumes for the * we have to watch week in week out in the SPL that talented, skillful players struggle to make an impact and pish like Brown and McCulloch are seen as first picks.

Thought I would quote you here instead of copy and paste because I am very much of the same opinion. Very well summed up.

Marc Crosas has done everything correct as far as im concerned , but somehow when hes in the team and the TEAM plays poorly this guy is punished and dropped. Brown gets away with it week in week out.

Crosas and n Guemo had a spell last year when they were class. Even against Rangers when the usual numpties would say "were gonna get bullied" theyre too lightweight" when they ended up dominating midfield

I have always liked him. He is easily the best passer in the SPL despite the adoration of the Scottish media for Steven Davis, who to me has always seemed a worse version of Joe Ledley. I think that his passing range is stunning and its no surprise he was rated by Barca when in La Masia as a better prospect than Busquets. I also don't ascribe to the idea that he can't tackle, he still puts in a shift and doesn't shirk a challenge - he just isn't anywhere near as aggressive or cynical as McCulloch who seems to be seen as Scotland's answer to Xavi. I would definitely give him a shot against Rangers to prove Lennon wrong.

The best, most consistent we've been in the past season and a half was a stretch in nov 09-early jan 10. Crosas was the holding midfielder and was guiding us through tough situations. I've always felt he was potentially our Xabi Alonso (many similarities me thought)

But, it's hard to say now because we haven't seen him - he seems to paying the price for his bad second half in the scottish cup semi but he was far from the worst and some of those players are still here...although they'll prob be gone.

he deserves much more of a chance then he has had to date. his goal against st mirren was stunning and his passing is second best in the whole team, just behind ki who will be out. i definetely think we should give him another shot, i feel sorry for him and the lack of football which he has had.

honestly , i rate crosas so highly . quick football brain , good awareness , touch , and can thread a ball or two , technically very good aswell. completely neglected at celtic , i hope he gets his chance but he wont , we rather play brown who has half the ability . if he had spent the last two years as wenger or ferguson as manager he may have blossomed

He impressed to start with but were nearly at 2 years since he's done anything decent. He'll have to get game time in the next 6 month or he'll get released. Cant see it happening now tbh.
