I thought Favourite Worst Nightmare was better than the debut.

Agree on The Fratellis but I think You Could Have It So Much Better is much better than Franz's first album.

Agree altough I still like the second.

Agree on Bloc Party and Rage Against The Machine. Not a Kanye West fan or KOL.

    Oh ffs!!:31:

ITLAOTE is arguably their best album, imo it gets slated from alot of people because it's so different from what they have done before. It may not better The Back Room, far from complete * though.

I agree with that, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back in Anger, Roll With It, She's Electric, Wonderwall, etc..

    For me:

Arctic Monkeys - First thought when reading the title.

The Killers - Even though I like the other 2 albums I think Hot Fuss is in it's own league.

I think In Utero is their best album actually.

Agreed. Love that album. I would say Unplugged is better but that doesnt really count I suppose.

Unplugged is definitely on a par with In Utero even if it's not an album with new songs on it.

I think Nevermind is great too, even though a lot of it is radio friendly.

In Utero was a magic album, With Nevermind they stole Mudhoneys thunder and your right, good album but one I think Kurt regretted making

What I loved about Bleach on the other hand was the pure Raw emotion which at that time was untouched or influenced by fame. Loved it.

Still think Mudhoneys Superfuzzbigmuff (and earlie singles) is the definative grunge album, still love it to this day.

Anyone who says Arctic Monkeys needs to listen to the follow ups more, Ok they may have never surpassed A Certain Romance as a song (though 505 comes close) but the 2nd album is far more interesting, has more variation in the sound, has possibly even better lyrics. The third is definitely the most musically advanced but I can see why peopel don't like it as much as it doesn't have the energy of the first two. But yeah, other than A Certain Romance, Favourite Worst Nightmare outclasses the debut in every way (I am a bit Arctic Monkeys obsessed as you can tell).

Pretty much all their EPs, they have some tremendous b-sides, another 3 albums worth, Brianstorm and Cornerstone have 3 great songs as b-sides. If anyone hasn't heard If You Found This It's Probably Too Late and considers themselves an Arctics fan...you need to.

Hot Fuss won't be topped by The Killers. I'm sure of that. Razorlight's debut album was a great shout, especially now that Johnny Borrell has lost his song-writing partner Andy Burrows.

Although I think The Suburbs is immense, I'm not sure Arcade Fire will top Funeral.
