I missed the motherwell game so can't say I've seen him play. But the Bhoy seems confident enough, and what better role model can you have for a left back than Carlos. If the lad can be half as good for us he could be the perfect solution to our problematic left back postion

 

Well lets hope he can be even close to as good but rite now all i want to know and see is we have a reliable left back for once if he can do that then hes got my backing 100%. Just dnt wanna see a player trying too hard to be like someone else rather than finding his own style and making the best of it.

 

I just hate it when Celtic players come out publicly and say they are gonna be this or that.....They leave themselves open to a slaughtering by the media. Just do the talking on the park bhoys FF's please.

In the article it's not like he's bigging himself up. He' ssaying that his idol was Carlos, but he knows that he needs to get the head down, work hard for the team.
I agree that players should keep it shut, but in this case I think the lad is just speaking about what he wants to aspire to while working hard for Celtic. It's not quite the same as a player coming out and saying that we're going to hump the next team we play

But to be fair to Emilio he is only saying that Carlos is his footballing idol and he wishes he could be like him...nothing wrong with that.

Could be worse.....he might have said he will be Celtic's new Mo Camara

When a player does speak to a newspaper they say it in the stories like "Barry Ferguson speaks to the Scottish Sun".
