Can you guys remember what was the first ever Celtic game you remember going to? I know i was at a couple of games before this one (Partick Thistle V Celtic being one that i vaguely remember) but the one that i remember and always reply with when asked was the 1965 Cup final at Hampden Versus Dunfermiline. You will all remember that Celtic won it 3-2 i was nine years old and had to sit on an uncles shoulders to be able to see.... Great game and a great memory. :50: Wanmadtim

Well, it was '91 and I was three when it happened, so I don't much remember it. The next recent would be way up to 2003 ChampionsWorld Tour in North America. Looking forward to seeing CP later this month though (first time that I'm old enough to actually remember)

Was in the 50s I think, Celtic 4 East Fife 1, John McPhail scored the four goals and I think one was a penalty, Bobby Collins got all or most of the assists.
East Fife were in the 1st division then, that was the top div. and they had a good player they called, legs Flemming.

    Celtic 4 Hearts 0 1995

    From Not The View:

All this took about three weeks and in the meantime we'd been very busy in both competitions. Hearts had come to Celtic Park hoping to repeat their success against Rangers only to leave on the end of a thumping 4:0 loss. McStay, Van Hooijdonk and McLaughlin had all scored within the first 25 minutes. Donnelly scored the fourth with 20 minutes left and Jim Jeffries had the brass neck to claim that Hearts dominated the later stages of the game. That's right dominated at 4:0 down. It's the way he tells them. This win actually marked our first clean sweep against Hearts for many years.

Celtic v Dunfermline May 1988 we won 1-0 thanks to a Chris Morris goal I think. Long time ago and I was only 8. My sons first game was the everton freindly a few weeks ago. This is his video...

Think it'll be a good keepsake for the wee man.
My other son has his first game against Hibs in a couple of weeks. Hail Hail

Celtic v Borussia Dortmund, Uefa Cup 1987. Celtic won 2-1 on the night but went out 3-2 on agg. I can't really remember anything about it as i was only 6. My brother took me and made me keep the ticket as a reminder of my first game. I still have the ticket.......

Right wierd one this, ma first ever game to Celtic Park was a match against Hibernian, must have been early 70's, thinking about 72 or 73. What I rememebr most of about it was always exepecting to see Hibs come out in their famous green fronted shirt and white sleeves, but they actually come out wearing PURPLE shirts ?

Might get onto the Hibs fans to see when this might have been.

    Think we won maybe 4-0.
