I think he'll be off in the summer, I think it's becoming pretty clear that he doesn't want to sign a new contract which kind of forces our hand, sell him in the summer or let him go for nothing which I would hate to see happening.

He hates being in front of cameras, can hear it in his voice.

Not every footballer is great at speaking in interviews or on camera. Understandable that some get nervous when cameras are shoved in their face. As long as he keeps banging the goals in for us, I'm happy :50:

    Gracias el Don :50:

That's funny - I always get the impression that if he had not made it as a pro footballer, then he would be one of the main cast on The Only Way Is Essex :56::56::56::56:

Hooper is the exact opposite from Mulgrew. Mulgrew speaks like he is a manager whos been dealing with the media for years.

Take our very own James Forrest as an example:

Interviewer: "So James, how does it feel after that cracking performance?"

JF: "Erm...aye....well obviously a just went oot tae play as best as a could obviously, and obviously we got the win so me n' aw the bhoys are obviously delighted"

Interviewer: "James, things weren't exactly going Celtic's way and you had to come back from two goals down.....what exactly did Neil Lennon say at half-time?"

JF: "Erm.....well......obviously he said that we wurnae playing that good, and obviously we had to turn things around, so we obviously took that oan board and obviously came out in the second half with a more obviously positive attitude"

Interviewer: "So James, we stand here beside VictorWanyama - today's Clydesdale Bank man of the match - was he integral in the team gaining the three points today?

    JF: "Erm....aye.....well obviously!"

I Havent seen anything that makes me doubt hoopers character since he's been with us. He will always give his best when playing in the hoops. He wont go in Jan but he'll be off in the summer to triple his wages.

He's my favourite player being from Essex and all that but a little piece of me will die when he leaves :(

Yeah, I can see him sticking around to see how well we do in the Champions League when it resumes and then he'll probably go in the summer.

I think he'll stay now. We have a chance, and we need Hooper to go and do the business against Juventus. It's the biggest game of his life. January is not the time to be punting anybody. We just need one big signing.

If he doesn't accept the 25,000, just offer him 30, get it done!!!

He will defo leave in the summer I think and for a pretty penny too. This is fine with me he isnt a lifelong fan of the club and has saw Celtic as a stepping stone but at the same time he has given us his best and he deserves his reward for that.

2 goals and 2 assists today. Can't argue with that, 16 in how many games?

Outstanding. I absolutely love the guy.

I wish he could stay for years but he's destined for the top imo. Could even see him taking players on today...rarely does that and was good to see.

Looked sharp today, will be crucial against Juve so hopefully he signs the new contract and stays fit.
