Needs to get dropped and start getting realistic targets sorted. Keane has already ruled himself out for a return to celtic as did harry redknapp in his latest interview....unless celtic were ready to pay £8million. And Bellamy has recently said he enjoyed his time but not the right time for a return....with nguemo, kamara and keane away we have the wages to support a decent striker, just no fee so looks like a loan deal again....hopefully offload samaras to free up some more revenue, if not I dont see any new strikers of any note coming in.

Tell you what mate, you write down a list of "realistic" targets, email it to me and I'll be sure to pass it onto Neil Lennon personally...'cause, ye know, fans on message boards choose who get's signed:87:

mj and marco, all im saying is lets be realistic. Both names keep cropping up and both have been ruled out by either themselves or manager, look at most of the posts recently and these guys keep cropping up. I dont know who we`ll sign (if anyone) if reports about the mexican full back are correct at 2 million and dont know whos available obviously, but i know these 2 arent.

If only we joined with the EPL and had the funds of buy these players :54:

Teams that get religated in the EPL get around 30 mil TV money and what to we get ?

Correct me if im wrong but isnt it 2-3 Mil for even winning the SPL ?

What a difference it will be to spend one season in the EPL.

OP has a good point - but every season we can expect the stick-on rumours of Bellamy & Keane joining us, it's all part of the fantastical transfer merry-go-round.

Loan deals are the best we can ever hope for with regards to these two players - just far too much money involved in transfer/wages to interest Celtic long-term, well at least until they turn 34 and their legs are shot for the EPL then they can come up the road and get a pension from us.

it really is incomparable to the EPL. The money up here is just a splash in there ocean...but at the same time the bubble has to burst...teams like man city/chelsea/man utd cant continue to run up the mounds of debt and rely on personal wealth on an individual, what if that individual decides to chuck it and leave a trail of debt and destruction....ie Glazers at Man Utd....can definetly see some wage structure rules brought into play to stop the stupidness of £150k a week !!!

Most celtic shareholders arent in it for profit . Ok it would be nice for them if they did get something. But you wouldnt invest in Celtic for profit reasons alone you would be mad to

with the world cup over the big teams/teams in cl can start getting sorted, tottenham are expected to make big moves in the next month and i can see keane, pav, jenas and a couple of others getting moved on, maybe at bottom dollar as they will want the wages off the books, mjallby has said the keane loan deal is still on option, which could include an option for him to sign for a lower price next summer, the keane transfer/loan depends on the signings spurs make

bellamy could be an easier target, especially if city splash any more cash around, his knees are wearing out and may get found out this year in epl so again he could be offloaded as he is on big wages as well, again just have to wait to see what city do in the transfer market...

have some faith bhoys, i know there isn't a lot of money around but lennon has shown so far he can play the transfer market well

dont think bellamy will be back . he,s quick but last time he was here he missed no end of one on ones. think keane would be to much in wages . untill we offload some big guns you can forget the big strikers. think rasmussen will come good along with fortune. hope we ply 3-5-2 with paddy mcourt as the man in the hole.
