McGeady injured out for 4 to 5 weeks with ankle ligament strain.

Sheridan was impressive against the U23's, he set up Stokes for the goal and put in a good shift.

Don't think he's going to make it at Celtic but he's had a decent season in the SPL too.

Sheridan is raw but I see something in him. Still needs another season or two development at a decent level before he would be Celtic material though. I would loan him out once more but his contract is nearly done. Maybe sell him now for peanuts but with a buy back clause that covers the next 2 years.

Sheridan started pro football late and is still young (21) so he could yet make it, certainly could do well for a smaller SPL club. However, O'Dea is older (23) and the more he has been seen on the pitch the less he looks Celtic class. Never more than backup IMO.

i know mate, i'd keep cillian, but o'deas hardly a big loss if he go's and should never be a first pick.

I know it's a friendly and he obviously wants to try a few things but that's a sad indictment on the state of the youth coming through from Ireland just now if O'Dea and Sheridan are on the fringes of the national side.
