Comparisons of this type are often very difficult, as often are going to be loaded in favour of the more modern, simply becase recent successes are still fresh in the mind, and circumstances of their tenure are often overshadowed or forgotten. Even the supposition of the best since Maley and Stein is inaccurate, as McGrory is named as an option, but McStay was not.

Strachan. Still can't believe how some "fans" drove him out. Gave us some of the best European nights and the 3IAR season was the best season I've experienced as a season ticket holder.

O' Neill shades it because he took Celtic to a UEFA Cup final when it was a strong competition.

Strachan, given the financial handicap placed on him, did a fantastic job also.

I get a shiver up my spine reading some of the woeful managers we've had to endure....

I think Martin O'Neill was best and wee Gordon Strachan did good and Wim Jansen won the league after 9 years of Rangers.

Thats all in recent times but Big Cesar was great and Davie Hay did good!

Watch this space Tony Mowbray can write his name in histry!

WGS. Simply because he won and done the most for us out of all these other managers. MON DID play better football but the SPL was on a spending spree at the time and alot of teams had good players playing good footy till the SPL drove itself into major debt and HAD to stop. Had MON been given the financial amount that WGS got hut wae things could've been ALOT different. But after WGS defo MON. :50:

MON, not even close. Created a great team from next to nothing. Strachan took the team MON built and gently pointed the nose down to the gound

Martin O'Neill :50:, the only manager in the world who could get a busy pub to silence for a post match interview: always went something like "Shut it lads, Martin's talking!!!" :56:

oversaw our glorious return from the wilderness, brought us Seville and had the Huns * scared! quite literally the man who saved Celtic, truely made us a European force to be feared, unlike now :54:

Has to be Martin O'Neill just for his double jump on the touchline when we got a goal :celt_2:

success = greatness and WGS should be top. but it also means the stature of the man and for that reason MON takes it for me. close though.
