If you can't play 90 minutes at the peak of your fitness then how can you complain about not getting game time. For the amount we are talking about (someone said £500K) I'd keep him as a super sub, as he can certainly change the game from the bench.

Shame about his fitness but people need to realise that he will never be a first team regular starter for us or any top club because he can't stay fit for whatever reason.

And whoever compared him with Lubo (in terms of being a luxury), Lubo could last 90 minutes and didn't get injured after every other game he played, hardly comparable.

Hes obviously not trying hard enough, getting the oportunity to play for a big club like celtic doesnt come along very often and when paddy is free from injury hes nackered after 20 minutes. It was ok saying that at the beginning of his career with us as it was a big step up but to reiterate these same words is just a joke.

If paddy had his way hed be back in Derry on the booze tomorrow playing for Derry city however he wouldnt get the luxury he is getting at celtic now. :97:

not sure if i beleive it, there is no way they wouldnt at least have him on the bench. i just think he is injured. its a shame, hes a brilliant talent, and the only player im exicited to see on the team sheet

i thought the reason he was always low on fitness was because of a back injury?

    He's a class player.

Easily the best dribbler in the SPL.

I honestly don't get the McCourt thing. Aye he can do great things when fit but he never is. Plus seen him start a few and disapears too much and when he came on against rangers he got foind out so often. Hate to say I think his ship has sailed for celtic. Why would anyone want to be a bench player at 25? Can leave whenever

Caldwell went to Wigan easily enough & for good money too - considering he was on a free contract.

McGeady, Boruc, Hinkel, Fortune (already played EPL), * even Samaras has played in EPL & Wolves are interested in McGinn....theres loads, James McCarthy ripped Liverpool & Stevie G a new * last night & he's from Hamilton FFS! Maloney was at Villa not so long ago & scored a few as well.

The EPL isn't the holy grail - their top 6 teams are, granted, but there is some amount of * there too. We would easily hold our own & avoid relegation from EPL if we had a decent manager.

Interesting that you mention a loanee EPL player in Keano but forget Kamara who's from Fulham.I bet N'Guemo will get offers from the usual suspects of Wigan & Bolton etc.. Birmingham were desperate to get McGeady too.

Theres loads of Celtic players who could hold their own in the EPL & Paddy McCourt isn't one of them...jeezo.

someone says he is a luxury well what would you call samaras.a hal;f fit paddy would be100% better .paddy has got the ability to change games samaras is just a big bottle merchant.hhas scored more than e has the ability and strength and mobility to be a great player but wanders away from the penalty area in case he gets hurt he is a total con job.p.s how come whittaker at the huns has scored double the amount of goals our m.field has we have no contribution from midfield at all.how come a full back can score as much as our strikers .just another reason t.m. is not the man to take us forward..gallagher

Paddy still has a role to play once he regains his fitness. There are not many about with his dribbling quality and he is worth some more time!

will never play regularly due to fitness and injuries maybe not all his fault as if he had played at a higher level all along his general fitness would have been at a higher level
