    Slow News day

Something tells me someone was talking pish down in the pub one night and is now looking for some support. In work me hole!!:56:

Larsson every time without a doubt, a complete striker where as Wright need a intelligent player to set him free.

That would be a better comparison and it probably be just as biast on a Celtic forum but Shearer at his best would bring out the goose-pimples too

Larsson every day of the week, Wrighty was just a goal scorer, Henke was the complete forward.

Ridiculous poll on a Celtic forum btw. What did the OP think the reaction would be?

I remember i was up at Aberdeen in a freezing cold December day when celtic won 7-1.

Ian Wright scored a goal and kissed that badge as if he loved our club just like he done at Arsenal.

That man loved one club only and it was not the club that topped up his savings.

When you get fans singing his name after one goal and thinking everything is rosy, its a joke to me, but i dont think its changed much over the years.

Wright Mr Arsenal, Larsson Mr Celtic. 2 diffrent players.

The two of them are like stamps and we all know who the first class one is.

Silliest, meaningless poll I've seen for a while.

Wright only came here for money,he never once gave his all.I remember on talksport they were talking about players not playing to their full capacity and a Celt rang and used him as a example.Took about hitting a raw nerve.

This is how it feels to be Celtic
Wright was a decent striker in his heyday but to compare him to Henke is an insult to the great Swede.

in 525 games Henrik scored 325 times.
in 501 games ian wright only scored 239

When was it Ian Wright was at Barcelona? Don't remember him ever basically winning his side the champions league

Wright was a class act but Larsson was a cut above the rest by far!

    I'd play both together :icon_mrgreen:

Wright was a great striker, one of the best of his generation. But Henrik was sensational. No comparison here. Put this on an Arsenal site and you might have a better debate.

Got to be honest and say that quite a few people are being pretty disrespectful to Ian Wright here. I suspect some people's attitude towards Wright have been coloured by his short and unsuccessful spell at Celtic. While I kind of understand that, you have to be fair and look at what Ian Wright did at his peak. Wright at his peak was a brilliant goalscorer. For a time, he and Gary Lineker were the two best strikers in England. The Arsenal team of the early 90's enjoyed much of their success because of the goalscoring exploits of Ian Wright. He gave that team the little bit extra spark and potency up front that makes the difference between a successful team and an unsuccessful team. The guy was quality.

I'm not saying that he was better than Henrik, I voted for Henrik on the poll, but I think Ian Wright's ability deserves a bit more respect than it's had on this thread so far.

that says it all for me wright was a cracking player but henke was an all round better player the fact he created alot of his goals plus i think assists for larsson would also be far greater than wrights

Wright did * all at international level. He also didn't play in a champions league final or play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Larsson has been legendary for Sweden for almost 20 yrs. He also turned a champions league final in Barca's favour and has played for 3 of the biggest clubs in the world.
Fair play, Henrik hasn't hosted the lottery draw or been in chicken tonight adverts but come on for * sake- only one winner here
