For those who have tickets, he injured his knee ligaments in todays Tyne/Wear derby.

Not sure how long he will be out but it could lead to the date being changed.

Anyhow, was down at that match today in the Sunderland end, they were doing great untill the second half when they gifted Newcastle a goal then it was all the toon from there on.

Loads of empty seats in the Sunderland end but the Newcastle fans were Magnificent and there was loads of trouble after the game with the Sunderland fans wrecking cars and busses and fighting with police since they couldnt get through to fight the Geordies shocking scenes it was quite scary for 15 mins or so.

You have to feel sorry for them, their position at the moment is almost unimaginable.

Not sure canceling a testimonial because the recipient is injured would be justified. Many testimonials are for players who are injured and can't continue their career. All things considered I think the game will go ahead, more trouble than it's worth rescheduling it.

Would be pretty disapointing if the game got called off. Unlucky for him not to be able to take part, but then again, It's really charity that benefits so think the game should still go ahead.
