For some Glaswegians, its like 2nd nature but for Celts outside of Glasgow and beyond Scotland's borders getting to Celtic Park doesn’t seem easy and they wonder if they are getting there the quickest and cheapest way possible.

This guide will hopefully provide any Tim with a comprehensive guide of how to get to Celtic Park using planes, trains and automobiles!

    Flying to Scotland

There are three airports within easy reach of Celtic Park for those travelling from afar, here’s the easiest ways to get to Glasgow city centre from each:

    1. BAA Glasgow
When you exit the airport at the arrivals hall the first bus stop is the express services to the city centre, get any of these and get off at St. Vincent Street, just across the road from Central Station.

    Glasgow airport via bus

    2. BAA Edinburgh
The easiest option to get to Glasgow from Edinburgh Airport is to get the bus into Edinburgh city centre and then get the train from Waverly Station to Queen Street Station.

    3. Glasgow Prestwick
You have two options for getting to Glasgow from Prestwick, train or bus. The train is quicker – and cheaper if you have flown in with Ryanair as if you show your boarding pass you will get your train fare for half price.

Train to Glasgow Central (at Prestwick airport it’s the far platform for trains to Glasgow)

    Ferry

Again there are three main ferry ports that fans will use on match weekends, the quickest and easiest way to get from each to Glasgow is to ask for a lift with one of the numerous supporters buses that will be travelling up for the game. If this isn’t an option then train details can be gotten from the links below.

    1. Stranraer

    2. Troon

    3. Cairnryan

    Getting to Celtic Park

You then have three options for getting to Celtic Park:

    1. Walk – Argyle Street > Gallowgate > Parkhead
Don’t get too distracted by all the pubs along the Gallowgate and just follow the crowd, it takes a little over half an hour to walk from the city centre to Parkhead.

    Walk

    2. Bus – Argyle Street > Parkhead
There are several buses that go from Argyle Street to Parkhead including 61, 61, 240, 255, 262, 267, please see link below for timetables.

The stop after the Forge Retail Park shops is the easiest to get off at, then it’s just a short walk along Janefield Street.

It should be noted that the buses require you to have the correct fare as no change is given.

    Bus > Walk

    3. Underground – Argyle Street > Dalmarnock
The green line from Argyle Street to Dalmarnock (2 stops) and then a short walk to the stadium

Argyle Line to Dalmarnock > Walk
