    I have to agree he's not as good as what we have. BUT we are going into the Aberdeen game with Darren O'Dea the only centre half available so it might happen.

    As for everyone who slags McManus, you ever notice that its only the fans who have never played professional football or managed at a high level that dont rate him? Every managers rated him. O'Neill, Strachan and Mowbray rated him for Celtic. While Smith, McLeish and Burley have all picked him for Scotland

    who have you played for or managed like ?

    maybe it just looks like every manager rates him because they have no choice but to play him ie strachan because he made him captain.

    mowbray cant rate him tht much seeing tht he is thinking about changing the captain.

    and as far as the scotland managers go. all of them have picked christian daily for scotland.
    I doubt this is because they honestly rate the guy but just because there is no one else to pick.

    obvisouly mick is better than daily and diamond tho haha

    Then why isn't Zander on the NT instead?
    McManus is a good player for us. Just not leader material.
    We'll see what Mowbray thinks of McManus when he's back to fitness.

    he has no pace so when most attackers simply breeze past him he just pulls them down or barges them off the ball giving away countless freekicks in dangerous areas while earning himself several bookings and even a few red cards in the process. He is a great big guy but to put it bluntly not good enough for the Celtic 1st team.

    I don't agree with that assessment, but I'm not in the mood to debate players anymore. So let's just say your right...
    Your solution is to bring in a guy that's below McManus on the NT and has no experience outside SPL? :rolleyes:

    The only reason to sign Zander Diamond right now is to solve our minor crisis against Aberdeen. Most likely that'll be solved by Loovens appeal being drawn out.

    No positional sense
    No Presence
    No Pace
    Can't tackle

    Apart from that he's great :rolleyes:

    McManus is not a great defender. His timing and positioning lead him to making rash challenges.. He's only stepped into the team as we lost John Kennedy to injury and Strachan didnae like Bobo..

    Zander Diamond aint better than him, though, he's a *' muppet.

    Thats because they have no-one else, BIG MICK is woefull , sell him asap and get someone like TAMAS in, I would rather have had a fully fit bobo playing than big mick
