I am hopeful that we might spend a bit more with a new manager. Maybe 10m.

    8-10m I would reckon.

You have to consider wages as well.

Hopefully dead wood like JVOH and Hartley will not be offered new deals and with Naka all but gone, there should be a good wage there for 1-2 quality signings at least.

i reckon he'll get 6mill plus whatever he can generate from sales......of course if someone offered silly money for say boruc he might not get the full incoming cheque for transfers.

we need to sell our most seeked assets in boruc, mcgeady and brown, with that money we might be able to put together an entertaining football team again. But, if we dont i can't see us getting more than 6 mil to spend and probably go out of europe.

I think he'll have the outlay both in fee and wages to go and buy 3 first team players. Getting rid of Balde and Donati to begin with means there's 2 decent wages right off the bat to re-invest. We may have to sell 1 or 2 but that shouldn't be a problem, the squad is big and they're all Strachan's players at the minute.

realistically lads... 4-6 mil, i just cant see them handing out any more unless its from sales, and the way we have done buisness in the past I cant see us making more than 2 mil from the deadwood we have littering our reserves, but in saying that, if we got rid of JVOH,Balde,Donati and say Naylor.... then thats a few million right there to maybe snap up a decent player out of contract.

I am hoping for £25 million to sign 5 quality players :icon_mrgreen: but in the real world it will be around £7/8 million plus a couple of bargain basement bosmans.

Between 8 - 10 million because mowbray said he wanted 10 million to spend and that would all have been agreed before he signed.

I think it will be aroung 6-8 million. Hopefully a little more to buy a decent lb and cf.

And hopefully if we sell we reinvest that back into team! so im hoping for at least 10 mil spent. doubt that though but we will see.

Depending on if we get into the CL & move some players on, I think it could be upwards of £10 million.
There's also uncertainty surrounding Setanta next season, would be brilliant to see Celtic negotiate their own deal & make more money without the other small minded clubs in the SPL that screwed up the last Sky negotiations.

It was the managers fault... Mate the guy stuck with 2 frikn duds who couldnt score in a barrel full of fannies ... The manager couldnt motivate a bunch of 8yr old cheerleaders never mind a full time football team. How can you say it's not his fault seriously ... Had nothing to do with not picking aiden mcgeady ... when he said crazy team selections .. think about playing mcmannus as captain (He's too young, He's not a match winner, He does nothing in defence) the 2 diddy's up front, the midfield was a shambles all season, defence with the zonal marking ... i mean keep up. The team was a joke last season and WGS was to blame.

^ Please don't pretend to know anything about Gordon Strachan's motivational skills. You have no idea how good a motivator he is.

And don't bother attempting to criticise him by bringing up "zonal marking" (like you even know what it is). Maybe you didn't notice but nearly every top coach in world football uses it.
