If Celtic could go to 10-12 million and sold McManus for 3-4 Million (we can but pray) that would be enough for celtic to bring in the 4/5 players (if spent correctly) needed to improve the squad and win the league back from the manky mob.

Some clubs can AFFORD to service their debts but that is not the same as a football club NEEDING to have debt.

If a club has debt they have interest payments and these will have to be paid first before they can even consider spending money on new players - borrowing to pay for players means they don't cost the original 3 or 4 million but that plus the interest repayments if a club can operate successfully without the need for debt then all the better.

Interest rates are low just now, but they will go up again then a club can be saddled with huge interest repayments having a knock-on effect on future player investment.

Donati for some reason is held in high regard in Italy, Naylor a championship team will come in for. Theres 1-2 million and surely out of the other 4 we could squeeze a million.

    Way to debate.

I could live with giving Donati another chance, but I reckon there's a pretty good chance that he will be in another club by the end of this month.
