Ehh, he finished last in the Premiership and was mathematically relegated with about 2 months to go.

A wee outside bet on Henrick Larsson at 40/1. I actually wouldnt mind him, lol.

This is kinda off topic, but out of interest i Googled this yesterday and while looking through the odds on www.bettingpro.com they had Tommy Burns 25/1

A grievous mistake of a terribly tasteless joke.

Edit. It seems to be removed now

They finished 3 points behind Hull. 3 points man, it isn't that much of a margin really.

Can't believe you'd rather have Henrik Larsson as manager to Tony Mowbray. Come on man.

Mowbray may have just got relegated, but it wasn't a team like Spurs he was managing, it was West Brom ffs.

They weren't relegated until a fortnight ago, let's not go over board.

Lets be realistic here the championship down england is far more superior than the spl and mowbary won that the year before last at a canter. I think he could have done things a bit differently at times down there this season like drop carson for a start, he cost them a good amount of goals as did his centre halfs.

They were relegated with a game to go.

Some of you people clearly dont watch a lot of football. And if you do you clearly dont understand it.

With the budget he was given relegation was guarenteed, WB are tighter than us, honestly, and he got almost none of the £15million promotion money. He plays good football and makes shrewd signings (he also got promoted from the championship with a very limited budget remember), Id be happy with Mowbray.

its not just west broms budget.
the chairman peace wont go over 25 k a week on wages either.
having been to a few games at the hawthornes this season the football they play is brilliant on thier budget and i believe mowbray would be great for us.

Ffs, i may have been exaggerating. The point i was trying to make is that he is * and Celtic deserve much more than a Premiership laughing stock.

No this is a big decision and it should go to a proven winner.

If Mowbray was Celtic standard, he would of kept West Brom up this year(or atleast not last). No matter what his budget

Dunno who you're having a bash at mate...

Anyway, Mowbray plays good attacking football and is great in the transfer market. Apart for this season, where with virtually no budget and a tiny wage budget for an EPL side, he has been highly successful.

With hibs, he won the 04/05 Writer's Manager of the Year, finished in the top 4 both seasons (Something Hibs hadn't done since Eddie Turnbull was incharge), did well in all domestic cup competitions and doubled Hib's ticket sales.

With WBA he reached the play-off final after finishing fourth in the Championship before winning it the following season and reaching the FA Cup final, losing 1-0 to Portsmouth.

All this while playing apparently superior teams using attractive, attacking tactics.

Sorry, but for me Tony Mowbray has to be the best manager that we can realistically get.

That's deluded. If Strachan was Celtic quality, he'd have kept Coventry up, eh?
