Football Manager 2006

I play 4-4-2 and if you are giving needing a goal with 10 mins to go, a quick switch to 4-2-4 has a very hig success rate.

I won the CL in my second season but I lost there to Juventus in the third season despite winning the second leg 2-1 in Turin I lost the first leg 2-0 which was robbery and to make things worse we missed an absolute sitter in the 94min in Turin

 

I like to make it more realistic and start in the lower reaches. I started with St. Mirren and got in second by one point my first season with a strong youth policy, oldest player being 23. My following season I edged out both Dunfermline and Dundee to gain promotion to the Premierleague. I then accepted a job offer at Aberdeen where I had a fairly unsuccessful first season. My job was to stay clear of relegation and I finished in 9th; 2 points above 11th. End of November in my second season at Pittodrie currently and I'm in third place with some class youngsters (I'm a very ageist manager). I also took the Scotland post November of the previous year and I'm tied for second in the WC Qualifiers. Tied with Norway behind Spain.

I use two main formations: First uses a heavily modified "4-4-2 Free". My wingers have arrows moving them to the centre, and I moved my fullbacks into the wingback positions to encourage them to overlap. To cover them I moved one CM into the DMC position and there you have it. Expect to let in loads of goals but score many more. I use it with low tempo and high-possession based.

For defensive games I play a 5-4-1 with wingbacks, a DMC and fast, counterattacking style. Works wonders for me so far.

 

Lads, do you happen to know what stands for "Other" in club expenses? I've spend on it 50 million Euro this season (2013/14) with PSV Eindhoven. Dunno what's that and it ruins my bussiness

Out of curiosity, has anyone got a list of the wonderkids on FM 06?

 

Maybe u dunno yet, but FM Scout for FM06 is available at SI site. Some people find it useful, although I don't like it. I liked it at the begginning, but it makes things too simple

 

FM Scout? I never used that, it would take the difficulty out of the game, therefore why would you play it

 

I agree Dempsey. However it helped me. At the begginning of my FM journey I've been using it for a while. It learned me to judge player's abilities better and seek a potential in a player with only few good and most average skills. But I couldn't use it now when I'm more skilled - it denies all the fun.

 

I started with Shaktar Donetsk and i won the super cup and the league by 24 points and then the ukrainine cup . then got knoked out of the Q/F by chelsea in the champions cup.

Played 30 Won 27 Drew 3 Lost 0 For 83 Agst 12

Second season so far Super cup winners and with 13 games to go i am winning the league by 3 points and in the Cup Final again .
Got knock out of the Champions league group stage then got knocked out by * Seville in the last 16 of the uefa cup .

But 48 games with out getting beat is a good record i think .

In the two seasons celtic have sacked strachan and then sacked klinsmann so with the last 5 games of the second season i have taken over them and i have a job on my hands to make them great again .

 

iv started a 3rd stint at celtic , & this is the 1!!!!!

unbeaten run & MAJOR results 7-0,7-1,8-4 away to kilmarnock

iv stuck to tactics and its paying off BIG TIME , tight squad all superb in morale

healthy lead in the lge , (for a change for me) + everton,barca & lille in the champs lge for company ,

I'm in my 4th season. I buy bosmons and sell them on. Also TV money through CL.

The rest I inherited or are bosmons.

 

nicely done they only usely give u around 1.2 mil sumtimes less which i find rather annoying

 

It's realistic though.
