With brown out who would you play ?

Personally I feel that there was no balance in centre midfield today. Hartley and Crosas just dont work. There both defensively minded , one due to the way he plays and one due to his senior years. I feel that Naka should be moved in one and put maloney out wide.

    Your thoughts ?

If Robson was fit I'd put him in instead of Hartley, if not I'd probably stick with Hartley as I think a midfield of Maloney, McGeady and Naka might just be a bit light.

nah if it was up to me it would be same as toaday, but if naka isnt fit (like today) maloney should play howerver if mick if fit i wouldnt be surprised if it was 4-5-1 wif caldwell in the middle

I'd play the same team as we did in the cup final. Crosas coming in for Brown, although im not confident about Crosas playing at Ibrox. Not sure if he's up for the physical battle that will come his way, only other option is Flood playing in the centre. I definitely wouldn't play Naka in there. They'll probably play 4-5-1, we should match them with that too make sure we don't lose it in midfield.

If strachan didnt think Naka wasnt up to a physical battle at hearts, then i cant see him putting naka in cm for the huns game.

Id like to see robson in there with crosas if robson is fit,but i cant see it happening.

You never know what wgs will do for this game, willo flood might be threw in somewhere or naka may be dropped and maloney in on his place.

    Personally, id make the midfield

    McGeady---Crosas---Robson/Maloney(whoever is fitter)---Naka

BUT I wouldn't be surprised to see caldwell in the middle, He is a strong tackler, good in the air and could dominate the huns midfield which is what we need.

Yeah the midfield didnt function properly today.

I think we should keep those two in the middle, but move Nakamura in front of them and bring in Maloney for JVoH and play him out wide.

So its a midfield 5 but an attacking trio ahead of the 2 more defensive minded players. Think it gives us a nice balance, options for the counter-attack

I'd put Naka in the middle, need a big performance from him though.

    McGeady Hartley Naka Maloney.

Its not great but we are stretched.

I'd be happy as long as Caldwell doesn't start at CM; he's not a midfielder imo

Same here. Our record with him in the middle of the park is awfull. We also miss him at the back.

If O'Dea is fit to come in for Naylor, then....

    ...............McGeady.....................................Maloney

I would put Hartley in for OF just because he has some defensive abilities. He and Naka would be really good in the centre of the park, along with Robson and Maloney as wingers.

Yeah I agree todays midfielders were struggling especially in the 1st half, we really missed Brown in there today. Only wish Robson was fit to play next week cos he and Hartley together would be the best available midfielders to handle the huns IMO

Crosas was not in the game atol today. Hartley should defo keep his place for the old firm game.

It's a good midfield. Something I would like to see. Perhaps stick Robson on LM, and Maloney to RM, but this is a good midfield.

    I would go with

    Maloney Crosas Hartley McGeady

With Naka on the bench, he hasnt looked greta the past few games and gets pushed around to much, but then again he might have a bit of magic to produce given its his last old firm game

Think this is his best option, Hartley had a stinker today, the midfield were a bit lost.
