72000 seat Parkhead ?

there will be definite improvements to the stadium for the commonwealth games. with john reid on board there could be huge benefits.

 

its defo not a listed front to celtic park as its not that new. only way we would fill it most weks is a reduction in prices

 

I'm sure the Celtic Football Club would make alot of money with more and cheaper seats

 

When i went on a tour of CP the guide said they were looking to expand the capacity of CP in the next couple of years, that was about 6 years ago.

 

would look great having the main stand raised to the same height as the rest of the stadium but like yous are all saying they would defo need to bring the prices down to pull a full house every game

 

This plan to upgrade the Main Stand and 2 lower corners won't happen.

Unless..
1. The standard of football within the SPL improves Dramatically
2. Average Attendances is on 59k
3. There is a season Ticket waiting List.
4. there is a large amount of cash injected into the game
5. Celtic & Rangers are really moving South!!!

 

I had a tour myself and the tour guide said the plans that were in place could bring capacity close to 80k.
but again that was in 2003/04

 

aye i agree, especially with the 1st and 5th point, cp pretty much sells out primarily only for old firm and CL games, although i wudnt exactaly say the standard of football in of games has been anything special recently!
