Just now I'd prefer to keep Mick's partnership with Caldwell. They have a good understanding with each other.

But I'd be just as happy with Caldwell playing with Loovens.

    Caldwell and McManus

Stick with what's brought the success in previous years.

Now is not the time to start changing the back four.

    glen loovens

should he play next week even if mcmanus is up for selection? i think so he is a bit clumsy but he is great in th eair and is a real good target at set plays he had agreat game in the cup final so i'd throw him in ahead of a half fit mcmanus.

I'd rather see Loovens play, he looks more composed than McManus

Him and Caldwell should be our main defenders. Both look comfortable together and Loovens is better than McManus aerially which is our downfall.

True, Loovens won a lot of headers in the 2nd half.

I thought Loovens looked good today when he came on, won everything in the air. Mick looked to be struggling today only wish he would tell the manager when he's not 100% fit or he will end up costing us vital points I fear

aberdeen seemed a bit less threatning from set plays after he came on

Of course not. Mick looks a bit more stable than Loovens. Loovens is good in the air, I agree, but when the ball is on the ground, McManus is much better tackler.
