I have to say as a non tattoo type guy, i genuinely do not understand it all!

Ive see the odd one that looks quite good, in a way............but NEVER have i felt the urge to have such a thing for life! I mean i get bored with my walls if the same picture is up too long! Im always changing them around.

I think i may consider getting one (although * knows why) if they disappeared after a set time period.ie 2 years or something............but i have never seen an old guy with a tattoo that looked good!

And they cost a lot and are painful to get!!!!:43:

This is my latest tattoo, done yesterday

It's a cover up job of a totally stupid tattoo I got in my teenage years, choose on my right forearm and life on my left :56:Looking forward to having both of them covered up but will take another few sessions to complete.

Was in the paper a while back, think it was one of the dirty sanchez crew that bumped into Tony, had some sort of bet on or got on with Tony well and said he would get that tattoo done in pritchards tattoo parlour....i think :smiley-laughing002: :50:

£160 for 3 hours (plus a 1 hour a week on to touch the colours up a bit) was * sore for the first half hour but the guy was chatting away so it took my mind off it :50:

It actually looks even better now that it's healed up a bit, I'll post another picture once it's fully healed. The way he's done it with the antlers gives it such depth now that it's healed a little, I'm so chuffed with it.

My advice would be pick the right artist. If you want a realistic tattoo then there's no one better in Scotland than Sile Sanda, but you'll pay a lot and probably have to be put on a waiting list that 8 months +

The stag is now healed and the background is fresh. It's still in progress with the peice continuing onto my chest and eventually down my arm.

For anyone that's interested it's done by Sile Sanda at Rock n Roll tattoo in Glasgow at the Trongate. Probably the best tattoo artist based in the city in my opinion and I'd highly recommend him although you'll wait 8-10 months to get an appointment.

Much you paying for an hour of work?
I was looking at getting a holy sleeve but wanted someone who knew the game so it wasn't stickmen with halos on my arm... your detail is unbelieveable and deffos worth it.
