yesterday the weans in bridgeton were on holiday,"how do i know this?" i had no water from 5pm till midnight the wee c,,ts let off a fire hydrant

i actually think the parents buy some sand ,lay it in the street and tell the weans to let off the fire hydrants as the credit crunch means no holiday, make your own beach

Setting them off was the best, stank lid covering the hole, about 5 of us standing on it turning the key, keep doing it until we cant turn it any further then all jump off the stank lid and for something quite heavy it usually flew about a metre off the ground!

    :icon_mrgreen: they were the days!

Then jumping through the middle, wee guys used to go flying up in the air and end up hurting themselves landing.

Done it once or twice before when younger for something to do, I think I know what your argument against this is going to be...... what if there was a fire ?

Exactly. It might be a 'buzz' or whatever, but what does it achieve apart from disrupting people's lives and hindering the Fire Brigade?

We got a talk about it a few years back, 8 people are killed in fires in which the nearest hydrant was unusable as a result of stupid wee neds messing about with them.. .

I agree with you mate ..... But you dont really think about it when you are about 8 years old and see a fire key lying somewhere
