Amazed this thread doesn't have more posts!

Anyway, watched these couple of videos with the auld man last night. Quite a good wee throwback and some nice clips of Jinky talking, even if a few folk wouldn't keep their mouths shut in the background when he was talking. Also, Bertie Auld. :notworthy :56:

Bound to have been someone on here who was there that night, I imagine. Wish I could have made it to one of these nights! Da met up with Dixie Deans, Lennox, Simpson and a good few others in a convention over in Ireland one year.

Anyone else ever have the video/VCR 'Jinky'? I remember my grandmother sent it to me when I was younger. Mesmerising.

I think they might. I was in Argyle st the other day and they have a load of old ones that have been branded as 'classics' for a fiver

What would he be worth on today's market?
A player who could single handedley unpick any defence.
I've watched the De Stefano game, he was on another level, he was everything a defender dreaded. Ole'....

My mate blagged us tickets to the VIP premiere of the documentary last night. Great film, and a lovely experience seeing Jinky's family discussing it in person. Bertie Auld, Murdo McLeod and Willie Henderson also spoke. There were fundraising buckets for the Foundation at the end as well. A touching tribute of an evening altogether.

Beautiful Sunday - the IRA version
    Watched it last night.

    Was excellent.

BTW what an absolute gentleman Bertie Auld is - visited Jimmy every single day during his illness to keep his heart up.

What a truly wonderful friend and person.

Watched it again last night. Absolutely brilliant documentary..

The family were great, his pal's/lion's particularly Bertie were brilliant as well..

Had tears streaming down my face and trying to hold them back a good few time's at the end. His boy putting the letter in saying he was his hero just tipped me over the edge, floodgates opened again..

My uncle was telling me about watching this, and when jinky had Double J's or whatever it was called in Hamilton and they'd be in after and then Jinky would play a blinder and come in after as casual as you like saying alright to everybody. Surreal to us of the younger generation..
