Yeah I think its definitely improved a lot. Greater variety of goals/build up rather than 90% from crosses like in FM20, lots of through balls and more possession based build up involving the midfield rather than just bypassing them.

The finishing is brilliant too, just had a dinked finish over the keeper by Ajeti at Pittodrie

I had the most frustrating experiences with headers on FM 20. Either the GK catches the header, or it flies over. Players who are supposed to score loads from crosses couldn't do it more than 5 times per season. Also, crosses weren't early enough- players would wait until a full back set up to block the cross. If I set the cross to low (because headers sucked), the players just kept crossing high.

I do think there were not enough through balls in FM 20, either.

What’s his physical stats like? They were rotten on FM20.

Not a bad deal! I like Christie though as he can play so many positions and ticks the home grown box for Euro comps. He’s probably not good enough to be first choice but very good squad player

I said no at first, will see come January. Rogic is the go to for AMC and Ely can play there as well. May see what the funds are like come January (the traditional influx of cash perhaps in early dec?)

Not sure if it will change from save to save, but I got a pretty harsh ‘Brexit’. Basically can’t sign anyone who isn’t an international. Even youngsters don’t get work permits. Already feels like it’ll ruin the enjoyment of the save. One of the players who failed to get a WP was Jordan Larsson.

Feels like it basically forces you to spend mega money every time you buy a player and can’t shop in the usual markets to find cheap gems

    Agreed a £10m fee for a 21 year old Mexican with 5 goals in 10 internationals. Didn’t get a work permit . . .

This is a bit of a joke.

Basically need to only buy British players.
Good British EPL players = crazy prices
Good British SPL players = barely any of them

Seems like a waste of time going Celtic now

I thought it was the same for everyone this year, but maybe not?

Seen a few streams and myself all got the 17 foreign player rule.
Current players from outwith UK will count as fine till 2024, anyone from Ireland counts as domestic as well.

Yeah I got the 17 foreign player rule til 2024, but the new WP rules make it incredibly hard to buy a player from abroad.

Pretty much impossible to buy a foreign player under 21 now as they won’t have enough caps or be established in their league to get a WP

    That's gonna suck balls then!

My mind has already been set on just doing a Celtic save during Beta - likely move to a main save in Spain or something.

Got transfer budget boosted to 18million in December, only made it to Europa League, I think that is what has made my budget smaller.
Happy enough though, one or two players will be sold and 3 or 4 brought in to bring the squad on.

Finished third in my CL group, then got Benfica in the EL. Have beaten them 7-1 in the first leg so into the next round we go.

In the league we’ve played 28, won 27 and drawn 1. Into the League Cup final where we play Rangers and got QOS in last 16 of Scottish Cup.

January window was made tougher with the new Brexit/Work Permit rules, but done some good business. Probably spent more than I would have had it not been for the new rules.

    Ins:

    Steven Bergwijn - Spurs - £15m
    Patson Daka - Salzburg - £13.5m
    Jesus Gallardo - Monterry - £4.8m

    Outs:

    Albian Ajeti - AZ - £3.4m
    Scott Brown - DC Utd - £185k
    Ismaila Soro - Oostende - £500k
    Moi Elyounoussi - loan terminated
    Diego Laxalt - loan terminated

Terminated the loans due to the permanent signings we made.

How are you finding the younger players @LM67 ?

I've tried to stick with giving as much game time as possible to Turnbull and Connell. Pretty much becoming my main partnership with McGregor helping out as an experienced head for the tougher games. Admittedly I may suffer a few draws more than I should, but not too concerned in regards to winning the league.

    Sold:
    Bitton - £7.75 to Spurs
    Brown - Galatasaray
    Ntcham - Wuhan £10m
    Elhamed - Burnley £1.3

Mikey and Dembele have been loaned out, just switched Dembele from ICT to Dutd in January for a better standard of game and hope both come good.
Starting to play a 424 (wide wingers/IF) so I have a place for both in the future.

    Bought/Loaned:
    Pavlovic - £4.5mill Monaco
    Rajkovic - £4.5mill Reims
Laxalt - £3mill from Milan to make it perm.
Brandon Williams on loan from Man Utd
Javi Puado on loan from Man Utd - trying to sign on a perm as well, he has hit the ground running 9 games and 4 goals from left wing.

Duffy - less said about him the better.

Hoping to Get Puado and Mikey as my left winger options, Forrest and Dembele for the right side.
Full backs Laxalt and Frimpong are long term, but loving Williams on loan who can play either side. May try to extend that. Taylor surplus, but not being too hasty there. Elhamed started greeting for a move.

Dembele has been very good. He’* about 13 goals so far. Turnbull has been decent enough with game time in CM and at number 10, although developing those physical attributes looks a challenge - not sure how much you can improve them. Frimpong started slow but chipping in with more goals and assists now. Would like to see his defensive atttributes improve a bit more and he’d be a great long term option.

The rest are out on loan. Bit disappointed with Mikey’s attributes this year, seems to have been downgraded a bit. He was a great rotation option last year but not sure he’ll feature much for me this year

Yeah feeling that with Mikey, my hope is the out on loan aspect gets him enough game time to help improve him.

I watched a YouTube video (by foxinthebox) last night regarding training and not leaving it to the assman. Gonna maybe try do more of that on my own as it looks like the assman really limits the potential to help increase stats in the likes of frimpong and turnbull
