    * rocket. We met him in Rome and he was sound enough, chatting away. Wouldn't give him the time of day if I saw him again.

There was an interview not long after Lazio where he said he was a remainer, and that whatever happens once brexit happens he hoped Boris *assuming he was in power* would "sort the mess out".

If you ask me that's more of a gentlemanly "congratulations", other than him being happy the tories have won.

    I may be wrong, but...

So in terms of how this was always going to play with the Celtic support ( a bit like when I think folk quoted him in this thread supporting the Union)

    Do you think

    A. He just doesn't understand why his views are controversial within The Celtic support
B He understands but doesn't care

No right or wrong answer there for me. He is entirely entitled to his view as much as any Celtic supporter but IMO when he is actually asked a question (rather than just looking of film of him crying) he doesn't come across particularly well.

Kinda bored of him tbh. He should just go to games, watch his team then go up the road like every * else.

No evidence of self awareness, unfortunately. 'Legions of fans', 'Well done, Boris', Jesus. Just don't, Rod. Don't make us ashamed of you. If you're a Celtic person, you know it's about much more than just football. I'd really want to think you wouldn't have said, 'Well done, Maggie', a few decades ago because you thought it would sell you a few more records.

BTW * Boris and Pete Townsend. #ReginaldDwightCSC

I suppose the 'Sir' Rod Stewart's a bit of a give away, as well. I'd forgotten about that.

To he perfectly honest with you mate, I'm not particularly interested in the guy's opinions or what he's aligned with.

The truth is he's a multi-millionaire with a lifestyle that the vast majority are envious of, his wife is bangin, he's a self-confessed Celtic fan who constantly promotes the club, whilst being a member of the British Order that's started singing Irish Revolution.......oh, sorry....a "love song" about a terrorist.

That’s about it. They end up so rich and detached from reality they end up rolling out ridiculous sound bites.

To be fair mate he's (in essence) no different to any other Celtic fan talking * in....say....a boozers, or on Facebook etc.

Take away his celebrity, achievements, "honours" and wealth, what the * does it matter? We've plenty of supporters in green and white talking * at times.

I saw a few bits from people saying he shouldnt be allowed at CP again etc, bet you those are the same * that shout about being anti-Fascist amd whatnot, yet as soon as somecunt says something they don't agree with (rightly or wrongly) they turn into fascists themselves....

Im with you 100% mate. I always take that viewpoint. I used to be amazed usually coming home on the boat as a kid and all the men talking about the game. Not nosiness I am just a profound people watcher, always have been. Used to get heated debates at all he tables and as soon as somebody left the company they would get their back torn. “ What to * would he know” “He just goes to games to complain.” Always thought my Da included, * gives them the mantle to gauge a persons opinion. On the other hand we would win by 2/3 and the same greetin faced * would still moan.:56:
