Him and Moi will miss Hibs if Norwegian health authorities insist on 10 days isolation

I think that we should dispense with these (glorified) friendlies altogether. Continental and world championships would do, even in better times.

We’ve had the worst luck this season with players having to isolate, between that, injuries and crazy referee decisions it’s definitely impacting the level we can play at.Luck will change soon hopefully.

It's crazy the impact that covid is having on our club. No other club in Britain has been hit as hard as us. None.

CELTIC duo Kristoffer Ajer and Mohamed Elyounoussi have been caught up in further coronavirus controversy while on international duty.

The Hoops pair are yet to play during the current international break after Norway suffered a second call-off due to Covid-19.

Lars Lagerback's side have been stopped from leaving the country by their Government after Galatasaray right-back Omar Ellabdellaoui tested positive for the deadly bug Covid-19.

The Norwegians had been due to travel to Romania to play in the Nations League, but UEFA have cancelled the match.

European football's governing body now face a decision whether to award a 3-0 win to the Romanians or replay the fixture at another time.

Norway's third and final match of the break - their closing Nations League game away to Austria on Wednesday - is still up in the air too

There are reports circulating that the Norwegian Government are keeping the players in a ten-day quarantine.

This would mean if Norway's game against Austria was to go ahead, they would need to draft in a full new squad for the match.

After the news that the team's match with Romania was called off, NFF president Terje Svendsen said: "The Norwegian Football Federation believes that we can travel within the regulations. The Norwegian government says no to this.

We disagree with that, but of course we cannot defy the government.

“We are very disappointed that the authorities are forcing us to stay home.

"All the other 54 Uefa nations are playing international matches this week except Norway. This is very detrimental to the national team's ambitions in the short and long term.”

Celtic return to action on Saturday, November 21 as they face Hibs at Easter Road.

If that’s the case then Kris and Mo will be allowed back to Scotland then.

On Sunday morning, the majority of the Norwegian national team players went home, after approval from the municipal doctor in Oslo. They were approved to return home, provided that they will complete the quarantine when they return home.

    - What happens when you leave the country is the individual's responsibility, and it is the laws and rules in the country you live that must be followed. Norwegian municipal or state authorities can, with others, not follow up or sanction violations of Norwegian or other countries' quarantine regulations abroad, says assistant health director Espen Nakstad to TV 2.

When the players land in countries such as England, Germany and Turkey, they will be subject to other laws and regulations than those that apply in Norway - and as Nakstad says could not be punished. But it is also a moral aspect.

    - If the Norwegian players break the quarantine, it means that they have traveled home under a false flag, so to speak. This is a problem, says TV 2's expert Mina Finstad Berg.

The Norwegian national team squad has had one case of corona infection, by Omar Elabdellaoui. Therefore, the Norwegian team was not allowed to travel to Romania to play the Nations League match that was scheduled for Sunday, despite the fact that all players have tested negative repeatedly.

This is how assistant health director Espen Nakstad explains why Ødegaard, Braut and co. get to travel home to Spain and Germany, when they were not allowed to travel to Bucharest to play matches:

    - The rules in section 5 of the covid-19 regulations give the municipal doctor the opportunity to approve travel by public transport to his own place of residence in order to carry out the quarantine there.

    - Norwegian law does not apply abroad and the implementation of the quarantine when you come to a place of residence abroad is subject to the regulations in the individual country, Nakstad further explains.

    - The purpose of the municipal doctor's approval is to help ensure that the quarantine can be carried out in a suitable place, including the place of residence. It is infection-free travel to the place of residence that is approved, not an exemption from quarantine.
