Good to read that former Celtic player has been invited to train with Celtic at Lennoxtown . Darren had to terminate his contract in the Ukraine as the war (troubles) wage on . Maybe Darren will catch the eye of Ronnie Deila and perhaps he will be offered an opportunity to start another career at Celtic .

As I've said on another thread, I wouldn't be against signing him as backup. He can play CB or LB, experienced player and he knows the club inside out.

Not good enough for us i'm afraid..

His missus and kids are Scottish so i'm sure he's good enough for a club up there in at least the championship..
He could easily get a move to a mid take spl side, a hibs at worst..

Not good enough. There is a reason why he only got 69 games in five years...

This is Dev's fault. He planted the seed on this. I'm holding him responsible :smiley-laughing002:

In all seriousness, he isn't any better than Ambrose, and I don't rate Ambrose. We shouldn't be looking to sign a back up centre half in my opinion. Would be a waste of wages. We have Van Dijk, Denayer, Ambrose & both Mulgrew and Lustig can both play there also. More than enough cover.

    Yeah :icon_mrgreen:

    1) Injury prone, still is. Why Toronto released him.

    2) Caldwell was better :icon_mrgreen:

In all fairness though, I thought he was decent for us.

More of a smash defender than anything as elegant as van Dijk.....could offer a different dimension for us.

I think he's miles better than Ambrose defensively, Ambrose would be a better athlete but O'Dea is the better player. I'd take him again I also love the song Darren O'Dea smashed a hun:celt_2: sign him up to *:icon_mrgreen:

Dunno, might be ideal for a season, then fling him, would come back trying hard to impress, Mulgrew done it. Certainly good enough for the Sunday league games after Europa to give people a rest

I thought he was a decent player. Would be happy to have him back as cover.
