Probably my favourite ever Celtic player than I can appreciate during my lifetime.

Can remember Larsson and Lubo but not enough to really appreciate them at that time. Nakamura would be the only competition to Rogic and I have more of an affinity with Rogic particularly as he’s done it over 10 years.

Genuinely really sad and those Twitter compilations are making me sadder :55:Think I might genuinely greet at the game the morra

Absolutely gutted. I rate O'Riley as much as anyone but these are huge boots to fill. Rogic's genius can turn a game on its head

It’s with sadness that I receive this news. This day had to come and it has left me with an empty feeling. However, I wish him all the best for whatever adventure he takes on, and will keep an eye out to see how he’s doing.

What a baller, Scottish defences and keepers will sigh with relief. Wherever he goes, the same will be terrified. Gonna miss seeing you in a Celtic top :ynwacelti Thank you for the good times :60:

Ange better start him tomorrow otherwise he’ll have lots to answer for :47::giggle1:

The biggest travesty is that we never had a song for him.

I'd guess Ange has his eye on bringing in one or two more energetic/mobile players for the midfield, as magic as Rogic is at times he doesn't really fit the mould for the fast pressing style we want to play, and with O'Riley and Turnbull both developing well he's probably looking at less game time going forward. Would love him to stay as a squad option, but at this stage of his career if he gets himself a contract on decent terms somewhere else it might be the right time for him to move on.

Still, on his day, the most gifted player in Scotland. Pretty gutting TBH.

He's under contract until 2023 I thought though - and surely has a transfer value, same as Bitton?!

It could be after 9 years service the club has decided to release them, at their request, as a thank you so they can get a better move, rather than holding on to them for what would be a relatively small fee anyway and might restrict where they can go to.

A bonafide legend, won the lot with us and gave some fantastic memories, one of the most naturally gifted players ive seen, moved like zidane at times literally just gliding with the ball.

    Will defo be missed.

No. Too soon Tam. I am not ready for your career to be over. I still feel you have the magic in you. Rip buddy thanks for everything. Watching your career was one of the greatest joys of my life.

You'd be hard pressed to find another Celtic story like his.

Brought in as a random nobody who was shipped out back to Aus with no sign of him ever being a celtic player.

Only for him to turn it around and become for large parts, critical to our style of play and so influential in big moments domestically.

What a career he's ended up having here...and to think he'd have been gone under Lennon as well if what ever was going with Qatar club didn't seem to breakdown.

    Mental.

Bitton was maybe an extension potential but I thought rogic was actually under contract to 2023.

He’s 29 years old and has just played the most games for us in a season in his ENTIRE time at the club

if off on a freebie I’m * baffled, sentiment or not.
