    Scottish Premiership League Title Odds

The 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season is underway, and the league is set to receive a little more focus than normal with many other leagues around Europe starting later than usual due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As ever with the Premiership, focus is on the two-horse race for the title between Celtic and Rangers.

The dominant force in Scottish football has been Celtic for the past decade, they have won the last nine league titles and would make it 10 with a win here.

Many Irish betting sites fancy them to do that too, with new gambling sites pricing them up as strong odds on favourites to lift the title once again, ahead of Rangers.

Something else that all bookmakers agree on is the fact that this is a two-horse race. Away from the big two, everyone else in the division is priced up at 100/1 or bigger, showing the gap in quality between teams involved.

    Keys to Celtic Winning Again

The simple thing that Celtic have to do is repeat everything they have done in the past. With few changes to the squad, this is a bunch of players that all know each other, all know what it takes to win in Scotland and will all want that feeling again.

Key players include captain Scott Brown, who although is now 35 looks as good as ever and knows how to pick his team up and drive them forward when things are tough.

Striker Odsonne Edouard scored 22 goals last season to be the top scorer in the league, his goals are going to be key again for the team. If he can get firing early, Celtic will be able to push forward and get on the front foot in their quest for 10.

Key Dates in the Title Race

The three games between Celtic and Rangers that are currently scheduled will of course be hugely important, as ever and two of these are to be played at Celtic this season.

The first meeting takes place on the weekend of October 17, the second on the weekend of January 2 and lastly the third on the weekend of March 20.

These three games are going to swing the title if the past few years are anything to go by. Celtic may win the league and lose all three, but the feeling is that Rangers will need to win at least two if they want to overtake the current champions.

    Can Rangers do Anything?

The entire Rangers attacking line went through Alfredo Morelos, a player who was set to leave Ibrox this summer. However, he could now stay, which would give Rangers more firepower as they have already signed Kemar Roofe as his replacement.

The club now have two strong strikers up front, and with that in mind it would be no surprise to see them score more. However, defensive issues do remain, and how the club copes with those will determine their Scottish Premiership title chances this coming season.
