    Aye think over the last two years they've been playing at least two, if not three different keepers.
    I'm of the impression the Greek side have a few keepers of a similar standing and age for that position and they're finding their true number 1

    Not a bad thing, a kin to Marshall and McGregor at Scotland, they swapped around at times as well for a few years there

    CELTIC splashed out on a private jet to ensure keeper Vasilis Barkas returned home fresh for the Old Firm clash and avoided being stranded in Greece because of an air traffic control strike in his country.

    Barkas is set to take part in his first Glasgow derby on Saturday as Celtic welcome Rangers to an empty Parkhead in the opening showdown of the season.



    Celtic’s new £5million keeper has been on international duty this week and was an unused sub as Greece drew 0-0 with Kosovo in a Nations League clash.

    The Hoops have already been decimated for the crunch game with Ryan Christie, Hatem Elhamed and Nir Bitton all definitely out after Covid-related setbacks and star striker Odsonne Edouard a major doubt.


    And Celtic were left alarmed after a strike was called by Greece’s main public sector union ADEDY, which is expected to see flights cancelled for two days.


    That was enough to persuade to Celtic fork out for a private jet to pick up Barkas from Athens immediately after the game on Wednesday night and return him to Scotland to make sure there was no prospect of a nightmare race against time to get him back to Glasgow for the game.

    He's not a downgrade on Fraser Forster. He's a downgrade on Craig Gordon ffs. A complete waste of money.

    It’s a no from me. Only thing I’ve seen him do is pick the ball out the net and drop quite a few crosses, apart from a few saves up at Ross County.

    Would be bringing Bain back in for the next games.

    Not convinced by him. I think there’s a willingness for him to do well from the fans, and understandably so, but there’s very little I’ve seen from him to give me confidence in him.

    I'm gonna put my neck out and say he will still be a good signing for us, the whole team is out of form under Lennon.

    Not gonna defend him for the goal today, he needs to do better there(albeit Goldson practically had free header, our cbs could do better) but I think he'll come good.

    Personally I'd give Bain or even Hazard a chance to see what they can do after the AC game.
